Love that nail shape and color! I actually do my own nail enhancements and have a nail art desk in my craft room - I got long square nails with highlighter colored stars right now 🎉🎉
@@bethbrady8146 it's a fun one - the way you'd start (after 20 years of experimenting over here lol) Is today with apres gel x. Second huge tip would be you can mix nail polish and gel top coat 50 50 to make any gel color you like 👍
Omg no way !!! That is so cool, i bet you can have fun with all kinds of cool designs !! I got gel extensions and gel polish, do you know if i can use regular nail polish on top of that at some point or will it not stick ?
@@coloredbymaia6476 You absolutely can use nail polish on gel and it sticks better than on regular nails even- by a ways. Just acetone or alcohol wipe the gel nail beforehand so it's super clean. Also, the magical dry time for polish is 20 minutes and after that you can even just gel top coat it and it will last forever. If you gel top coat too soon nail polish will crinkle just so you know. Gel polish and top coat are stronger and shinier than regular polish/top coat. And lastly, this tip I discovered 15 years in not even kidding - you can mix any polish and gel top coat 50/50 if the top coat is non wipe kind and make a gel nail polish out of any nail polish color you own. This will let you cure the polish as if it was gel nail polish (so no dry time) and it will turn out much more sparkly/shiny, and even more matching of the color in the bottle. You just need to do twice as many passes (I recommend with a brush called a "polygel brush") bc otherwise it's half opacity since you mixed clear top coat 50%. It's a whole hobby you can ask me whatever honestly haha I've spent my whole young life with nails as my #1 :) Also if want to try your own enhancements there is an easy way now with the company apres gel x that had me jumping up and down with excitement a couple years ago!
