I love the dynamic Scar, Tango, Bdubs and Etho have in this season! They just kinda hang out on streams (they might have had this before aswell and i missed it cause i only started watching streams lately
Instead of dropping lava buckets, you could unlock a piston that gives access to a replenishing lava dripstone cauldron area further down the well in the farm. Let them use their own bucket they order, and they'll likely only get one or two refills a game
From what I've seen in Ethos and Gem's playthrough, I’d say the game definitely seems like it could support 3 players. I completely get the reasoning behind keeping it to 2 players, though. With three, it’d be more organized: one person could manage orders, another could handle cooking and deliveries, and the third could focus on the farm-way less chaotic than you probably want it to be! But honestly, I’m beyond excited to see how the final product turns out. The anticipation is killing me! Your creativity shines through, and I just know the finished game is going to be absolutely amazing.

Use a pressure plate under the cat (preventing the flood system from pushing the cat). Put a hopper under the slap for item cheesing. Or you could add something for throwing cod to the cat. (Using the pressure plate and hopper for something in the game)
1:09:45 you should call it "Dinner Bell" and you should make them have to ring a service bell/dinner bell to activate the boost for like 30 seconds. No cooldown, just they have to go and hit a bell sometimes, and 30 sec is long enough that they can hit it and go do other things rather than camping the bell, perhaps even long enough that they will get busy and not camp the bell as the duration runs down. Depending on the spot (right by the door to the dining room would be perfect), they could just hit it every time they pass, which makes it very thematic.
I think it would be fun to add a mechanic to plate up where if you get too busy or backed an angry cook(a blaze perhaps) pops out and throws stuff in the kitchen
Tango, my contribution to feature creep / DLC: There could be a random malfunction of the crafter which dispenses wind charges to scare players and maybe move the produced items around 😈
What's your plan with making sure the Hermits playing are fed? Do they need to prepare their own food? Should you give them more slots, with the expectation that they're using one for their own food?
With the 'door stopper' upgrade you probably need to install a piston to remove the noteblock. Also, if you can't have that upgrade on permanently during building; perhaps you could put the iron door back and use a lever to (temporarily) permanently power the door and noteblock.

Idk, maybe something with a lower burn time but you get 1 item per day? Risk is they save up items and put in the furnace that carries over between games, but that might be a acceptable level of risk?

Yeah, unless that hopper empties regularly some items will get stuck on it for long periods of time. Having two droppers should fix it.
