What Craig didn't know, was that this very moment was the start of something legendary. When Geoff was introduced to the show, the show went from terrific to the funniest talk show in history of television.
Just go back a few months when Geoff wasn't there and realize what a brilliant move the creation was. Their timing is perfect!

This tweets & emails segment introduced two long-running gags: 1) Geoff having a place almost everywhere and 2) Geoff playing the harmonica/mouth organ along with Craig
That moment you realise whenever he looks in Geoffs direction especially when him and Geoff are in fits of laughter he was really looking over at Josh, the two of them just fit together so well. True brothers.

This episode was the first time Josh Robert Thompson did the whole "I got a place there" gag for whenever Craig mentioned a city or town whilst reading the tweets and emails. From then on it remained a running joke for the rest of the show.

I definitely miss Craig's improv style. Not everybody can do improv, so I wouldn't want them to try to make all late night shows like this, but when you have the right people, like Craig and Josh (the guy who played Geoff), it's downright magical.
If you truly love improve, then his very best guest was Don Rickles... End Scene.

The most hilarious thing was that even Geoff lost it laughing, that made Craig lose it even more, for me i was really surprised when Goeff played the organ too, it killed me i was literally rolling on the floor laughing

He is the funniest, best late night talk show host in my opinion. His humor is perfect for those late night laughs and in this case, crying fits of uncontrollable laughter.
I like him and conan the best. can't decide who's better. although Kimmel does some fun stuff with the people too

same here, but the reason they don't unfortunately is because of the ridiculous amount of content. In his 10 years he had 2000+ shows. That's well over 200 per yr. It would just be a hassle to get that many episodes, although if they did do that you better believe I'd be the first person in line to buy that box set

I don't think so. The very original run of Geoff didn't have an actor doing the voice; the puppet just had a sound chip with several different sound clips (voiced by Craig). One of the voice clips was "Yeah, I've got a place there". Craig would ask a guest about their home, or somewhere they'd been; Craig would then ask Geoff if he'd ever been to X, and Geoff would respond with that line.
Craig's face when Geoff plays the harmonica for the first time is severely underrated
I love that when the guy playing Geoff loses it he still has the wherewithal to move the jaw in sync with his laughter.
and with this episode (one of the first ones Josh did live in studio) one of the best duos in late night was born

Never know with network contracts (ie:politics) whether he needed it for the money but according to his talks on the show it was his decision. He killed it on his final (shooting just prior to the final recording). Never knew singing on a desk was so alluring. It's now a thing thanks to Craig! Do you know what game show? (I despise them but if I can find news on him SOMEWHERE, it'll be a bit brighter in my world.) :)

I miss this show so much. I just saw Craig live in Henderson NV a few weeks back and it was an excellent show, but The Late Late Show was truly special.

At one time or another. We had both Craig Ferguson, Conan O'Brian, Jon Stewart, and Stephen Colbert. Now we only have Coco, and Colbert. Fallon sucks, I've yet to see the replacement for Stewart. Everything is soo backwards.
