    My husband and I have a Thomas Kinkade Nativity set that we keep up all year. It is very special to us. We did not keep the boxes.

  • @pamp212

    No guilt. Throw the boxes away and save yourself the time to get the nativity up easier in the future.

    I hadn't even considered ditching the boxes, but I fight with them every year! Genius idea!

    • @TheAtWhatCostBlog
      @TheAtWhatCostBlog  ปีที่แล้ว

      I bubble wrapped them because they aren’t the sturdiest of things, but not dealing with the boxes….awesome!

    I love my willow tree but each year trying to put it away was so maddening- no matter how I twisted and turned each piece they didn’t fit in the styrofoam - so I wrapped all mine individually and put them in a big tote - you will be so happy you with your new solution!! Happy New Year!

    I unboxed my willow tree set and tossed the boxes two years ago. Best decision I ever made. The boxes were falling apart and I cherish my set too much to think of selling it so the boxes went bye-bye. My set has survived just fine. My kids are happy not to bring up ALL those boxes. My Christmas decor is brought easier, quicker and set up with ease. I even unboxes my village and Jim Shore Christmas pieces. Yes, I know…the horror! 😂

    I love your idea of how do I bring glory to God in the daily grind! Practical ideas for application would be super helpful. Ps. I think it's super great the way your hubby tries to get your attention, make you laugh, and flirt with you❤️❤️ reminds me of the way my dad always tried to get my mom to laugh and horsed around. Thank you for the video!

    I have the same nativity! I look forward to getting it out every year. Whatever makes it easier to unpack it increases the joy of unpacking it. 👍🏻
    I would absolutely love to read a book diving into how to live life more abundantly in the everyday things and not just the big blessings in our life. I have enjoyed the scripture teachings you always apply to your videos, they have all weighed true against God's word. Please persevere in this project, you will come across all kinds of reasons to quit.

    Our small group at church is in John and I am SO EXCITED that you are digging into what abundant living should look like in the daily details! Your book is one I will be reading as soon as it is available. Putting a note in my Bible in the book of John to pray for you! Keep fighting the good fight, my friend! ❤

    You are one busy mama... and a book on top of it!! I love how you're able to maintain a Godly perspective through the hustle and bustle of daily life... I tend to get lost in all of it. I'm working on it lol. I love the Gospel of John!! Pay super close attention to Jesus' words and to whom he speaks those words to... he's really really trying to tell us something super super important. Maybe the most important!! Tie his words in with Genesis (with Concordance) and Revelation, and boom... truth never hit so hard!!

    Toss those boxes! I’m right there with you!
    As to the difficulty with hunger and moods, so I remember correctly that you adopted out of foster care? Having family who adopted, I learned about food related trauma from neglect. It’s a continual battle for those kids lifelong! My die in law made a special snack cupboard on advice from their lawyer, and it has really helped my nephew with his food related trauma!

    I bought a note-taking Bible and started reading the Bible and listening to The Bible Recap daily on Jan. 1 this year. It's been amazing so far...and I'm only 6 days in.... I loved the understanding you showed your son when he was a little grumpy after school - so sweet! Lastly, I'm excited for your haircut. A month ago, I cut 8 inches off my hair and I am totally loving it! 😁

    Our son has full custody of his 3 sons, 2 of whom are ASD. My husband and I help with the schools pick up and drop off. It is a challenge but we are thankful God has given us the time and resources to love and care for them! God bless you and your family! May I ask what is the book your husband was reading from at the dinner table. I liked how it related to something children could understand such as chickenpox. Thank you for sharing your ditl.
