Wow......if this tragedy had not happened, it would've been an historic space journey to remember, for all of those seven astronauts. Especially the schoolteacher, Christa McAuliffe, and her students she taught once before. All of them are still missed, after nearly 40 years of the tragic explosion, just a minute-plus after takeoff. Rest in Space Heaven, Greg Jarvis, Christa McAuliffe, Ronald McNair, Ellison Onizuka, Judith Resnick, Dick Scobee, Michael Smith.
That was a horrible time for me. My dog died on Dec 28 1985, Ricky Nelson died in a plane on Dec 31, 1985 and then this tragedy in Jan of 1986. The whole thing was mind numbing. RIP everyone, especially my baby.
