He wanted to be shot dead by police, yet he closed the bathroom door and windows to stifle the screams? If you wanted to get shot committing the crime, wouldn't you want to let as many witnesses know about it so they would call the cops asap?

Rest in peace beloved Ethan! it's so unfortunate that this tragedy happened to him in 19 July 2021...he was still very young and had dreams for his future😢
The killer didn't need to just take someone's life just because of his own suicidal problem!!! For this case i would rather sentence him to life imprisonment.

Exactly. I don't think it's a simply case of depression. There's likely underlying sociopathy and psychopathy too -- in which case, 16 years is truly too short. Research shows that psychopaths and sociopaths are extremely resistant to change, and treatment only tends to make them better at manipulation/deception. The current professional advice is to keep them away from society, in order to protect society from a vicious cycle of trauma. I'm a believer in redemption and restoration, but research rightly shows that psychopathy is the one exemption.
For everyone else reading this, please remember to keep your light bright in dark and despairing times -- we always have a choice, to choose good or evil. Sometimes, people in their darkness and despair, choose evil, and in doing so, sink to a point where redemption is near-impossible. Please keep that flame in you alive, even if it's only a feeble flame. Don't ever let the light go out. ❤

With good behaviour he can even be taking his O and A and degree course while in jail. Then next time come out become a steady lawyer with a cool background story to tell

@@awesomepuppy215 For juveniles, "jail" is not exactly as you imagine it to be. It's not as if the axe-murderer is behind bars. His "jail" is actually a room with carpet on the floor and a TV on the wall. Yes, the metal door is locked at all times, but it's not "jail" in the full sense of the world. It's more like an office.

I think it is a very fair n justice judgement since there is mental illness when the murder was done. I hope the boy can repent, heal well and study well inside the prison and make himself useful to the society when he will be release out of prison in the future. May peace be with all..

He’s probably the only suicidal and depressed person to wanna harm others than self. Makes me wonder what sort of therapy he’d gone through then. Don’t forget there’s one such therapist who actually threw his wife off the condominium unit a while back.

Very fair n just? He killed a innocent kid who had nothing to do with his depression. A kid who had his whole future ahead of him. 15 years is an absolute joke, if anytg this will motivate other sick headed individuals to commit these crimes as the sentencing is a mere 15 years. The murderer should have been sentenced to life in prison
