LanceHasPants a piano is pressing a sequence of keys at different velocities in a specific order. A launchpad is pressing a sequence of buttons (which are velocity sensitive with the new launchpad) in a specific order. Doesn't seem too different to me. And what do you mean he's not playing live??
Crimson The Dragon what I'm saying by "live" is that he's not playing the audio live from his laptop as he's playing it in the video. What he did was record himself playing it while ableton records the midi, and then he rearranged the midi notes to make it sound perfect. Then he exported the audio and put the MP3 over the video of him playing it on the launchpad.

I heard that you have to change (or modify) the chain selector so you won't have to press the buttons on the right. I was going to ask people how to change or modify the chain selector (because I'm a beginner)...still have no answers. :/

Guys if you listen and watch closely he's not even playing the music. For ex. when he presses a button more than once it changes sound but he is still pushing the same button. Or when he did the vocals, the words changed every time but pressing the same 8 buttons. It's just him playing the lights to the music, but the light show was AWESOME though!
Actually he may also play the song. Specially in the beginning his right hand hides the buttons on the right. If he presses them, he can change the set. That would explain the different voices but same buttons.

Well not even that example becaus later in the video he was going down a row and the sounds were getting deeper and then went back up that same row and they were still getting deeper and he was nowhere near the buttons. But you could be right that he presses one button and then it automatically changes its sound. But I still like the music and the lights he did a good job!
Bryce Gladding my group and i have downloaded his project files for ableton after a slim feeling of doubt that he was performing in real time. These performances are 100% live and do require a SHIT TON of practice and many takes to actually get through a set. he knows what hes doing when he makes these and im sure we have all thought these precise cuts were to good to be true but they are.

There needs to be a way of taking the lighting effects and have the be replicated live onto a glass dance floor with lighting underneath that re-creates what is on the launchpad. Now that, would be epic.

I've got a Launchpad S, and I bought becuase of Nev, and ive been using his videos as tutorials and his live sets to help me. Hopefully im gonna make my own remix and play it on the launchpad for the talent show but if not im just gonna use one of Nevs Live sets. They're patterns on fl studio placed in certain places that's why different buttons do different patterns

Guys if you listen and watch closely he's not even playing the music. For ex. when he presses a button more than once it changes sound but he is still pushing the same button. Or when he did the vocals, the words changed every time but pressing the same 8 buttons. It's just him playing the lights to the music, but the light show was AWESOME though!
Well I don't care if he's playing it or just putting a light show, but it was awesome!
Actually he may also play the song.
Specially in the beginning his right hand hides the buttons on the right.
If he presses them, he can change the set. That would explain the different voices but same buttons.

Well not even that example becaus later in the video he was going down a row and the sounds were getting deeper and then went back up that same row and they were still getting deeper and he was nowhere near the buttons. But you could be right that he presses one button and then it automatically changes its sound. But I still like the music and the lights he did a good job!
Bryce Gladding my group and i have downloaded his project files for ableton after a slim feeling of doubt that he was performing in real time. These performances are 100% live and do require a SHIT TON of practice and many takes to actually get through a set. he knows what hes doing when he makes these and im sure we have all thought these precise cuts were to good to be true but they are.

My ex told me about this song so long ago. I didnt know the name anymore or what a launchpad was. I just found this i thought it was a fever dream. Man what memories.
There needs to be a way of taking the lighting effects and have the be replicated live onto a glass dance floor with lighting underneath that re-creates what is on the launchpad. Now that, would be epic.

SoNevable if i got a launchpad at some point, your videos would be my tutorials man. your doing really good on here. i love how interactive you are and that your not just pushing out videos like everoyone else (the interaction REALLY makes the videos worth watching)
have you thought about putting up any mixs you've done? like 1-20 min sets. obviously not with the same video quality like your doing in these but maybe as a seperate "show" kinda thing.

I've got a Launchpad S, and I bought becuase of Nev, and ive been using his videos as tutorials and his live sets to help me. Hopefully im gonna make my own remix and play it on the launchpad for the talent show but if not im just gonna use one of Nevs Live sets. Thanks Nev for the insperation to buying the launchpad im happy with it! SoNevable You've also got me into Novation and im halfway there to buy an UltraNova, You should too :D
