I struggle with getting my leg up quickly and high enough when I'm fatigued (my gym always trains while fatigued) so I often teep too low. Any tips for improving my ability to left my leg quickly and high enough?

Shadow boxing + working it on heavy bags does help.

Concentrate on lifting your heel quickly to initiate your kick. It will accelerate your knee allowing you to lift your leg quicker & higher. You have to chain the heel-knee-kick together properly though, so you might have to work at the timing a bit. The calf muscle is designed to help lift the leg but a lot of people focus only on trying to lift the knee quickly using the quads and don't think about engaging the ankle & calf.

Exercises like plyo tuck jumps and plyo lunges can help. Calf raises/jump rope can get the calves too. And, of course, continual, correct practice will help you perform the technique better.

i've learned two ways to do a front push kick but I don't know which one is right ?
    1) Bend you knee and quickly straighten it, hit the target with the balls of feet
    2) Bend your knee and swing it up like an Ap-chagi (in Taekwondo), hit the target with the heels of feet.

The front leg is done with the ball of your foot so it’s more like a jab type kick and your rear foot front kick is done with your heel and a more offensive kick. That’s my instructors style anyway.
