Fairly new to firearms. awesome to find a channel based out of Ky! I'm a novice shooter who plans on growing my skills gradually. I'm familiar with 9mm but would for sure rank myself as novice. Late 30's and really trying to soak in knowledge. Dad is being a big help as he's always been around firearms. I am really liking this gun after renting it and reading reviews and what not. I have tried a m&p shield from pops and several glocks to compare. This being my first handgun I am really eyeing the ppq m2 compact. Just feel it fits well compared to others tried and for now I feel better with a compact than a sub due to how it rests in hand. Been saving looking for a good call that is awesome out the box and can grow with me. Would I regret the walther or am I looking at a bmw lemon down the line?
Yeah, I love my PPQ, but given no paddle option, I'm thinking I'll save a bunch of money on mags and the gun itself by getting a P99c. I saw them on sale recently for $369 - I guess in anticipation of the PPQ SC. That's a steal for a hugely underrated pistol.
Seems like the main comparison is between this PPQ SC and the Sig P365 based on magazine capacity. I was hoping you were going to hold up the Sig, although I guess I can always look up the dimensions. I have Walthers and Sigs, so I'm on the fence.

Some strange differences in the slide that look like they are borrowed from the Creed, i.e. internal extractor and roll pin rear plate keeper. Is the barrel a one piece design like the original PPQ?
This looks like an amazing double stack carry gun. I have a PPX and a PPS M2. I have an IMI Defense holster for my PPX. Would the PPQ SC fit that holster?
That's exactly what I said. I have the M1. Still it sounds like M2 mags won't work with the SC either. I'm disappointed they have been leaving us lefties and ambi shooters out to dry for the last few years.
Paddle release is a European thing. We're in America and, for the most part, Americans prefer the button release. I think H&K have that style release on their pistols. Walther may have that feature on the pistols they sell in Europe. Wouldn't that style increase the odds of accidental release of the magazine? Bad thing to happen in a defense situation.
List is $649. Probably will retail for $599. I'm not impressed. I'm going for the P99c instead. They are going dirt cheap and can take full size mags from the M1.
Dave Renn you have to use the ppqm2 mags,the ppqm1 mags will not work due to paddle release,but if you have a ppqm2 with the button,the mags will work.
Everyone complaining about the magazines, he said it doesn’t take the P99 or the old PPQ magazines, meaning the PPQ M1 magazines. He wasn’t as clear as he thought he was.
There's a reason for this. The slide on this gun is faster, and the spring in the older magazines is not adequate to properly feed the PPQ SC. They do, now, (two years later) have a spring upgrade available so you can 'convert' other mags to work with this gun.
Apparently u will b able to buy a kit to change your PPQ M2 mags into a compatible system. I own a PPQ M2. Personally I will just stay with my Glock 26. No mag issues etc. U would think that gun makers would just assume we all will want to use our old PPG mags without buying a kit, blah blah blah . To me this is a HUGE oversight. Looks like the exact size of the Glock 30 which also holds 10 rounds of 45! The more I think about this the sillier it seems . All things said maybe once we shoot the gun it’ll impress us all more . It’s bad timing tho . You’re really gonna come out with this the same month as the P365?! Timing IS EVERYTHING!! Game over . Lol
I like the PPQ but I like the other Walter at the SS used in World War I like that model better I wish Bollywood come out with that one again if come out with 22s for the gewehr 43 and the sturmgewehr 44 22 long rifle and believe it or not automatic and single-shot MP40 BB pistol out there 52 rounds at holds

In a huge Walther fan. That said, one of the reasons I became one *was* the paddle release (amongst other 'European features' they had on their guns.) Hell, if I wanted to 'buy American,' I could get a Smith, Ruger, Springfield, etc... Now? I'm thinking Hk is the way to go. @ Walther-- I don't want to leave you, but you're not making it easy! 😒
Good video but I think walther dropped the ball .They should have a pinkey extion mag,with it,and can't fit other ppq mags! For that price ..bad move ! Why do you guys (not just you but 95%) always leave out the 10-round with pinky extension for those of us who live in communist states like NY? Don't we matter? Don't we count? I know were just one state and the NY government is anti-gun, but the populous is not anti-gun and many of us have guns, and we would like to see stuff that WE can use. We have a ten-round max, so all these reviews with 15-round mags are of no value to us. I guess we don't matter.

Looks great! However, I generally only carry w/ Euro mag releases. Walther needs to bring back that feature from the original PPQ.

To me, the PPQ M2 has the best trigger and ergonomics of any of the striker guns out there.

Well it is about the same size as a Glock 30S and if I have a choice between 10 rounds of 9mm or 10 rounds of .45ACP going with 10 rounds of .45ACP.

M2 mags do work. But you need the sleeve on it to blend flush with the shorter grip.
In my opinion it is really a compact. A sub compact should have a bbl not exceeding 3.2" & be a single stack mag. For concealability.
