Your brave exploration was not only nostalgic, but also very satisfying for my curiosity. The only thing I wish is that you could've gotten closer to the stitch animatronic
Being a theme park employee myself (though not Disney), I've gotta tell ya you're pretty lucky they weren't using that space as an employee breakroom or something!
They actually are nowadays. This was filmed shortly after it closed but there’s some more modern photos leaked of it being a break room. The first intro room is still somewhat intact with the wall signs still up and exposed. Went to not so scary Halloween last year and they had the door open.

Funny that there are still the out-of-order caps on at least one of the chairs. The one marked "Temporarily Seized" is a carryover from Alien Encounter. Miss this attraction and Skippy from the preshow. I'm a fan of Disney's animatronics and losing the epic 5 of them(plus the 4 Gun Arms) with the closure of this ride was tragic. Thanks for the video. It's a nostalgia trip.

I got to experience this ride back in 2007, I was pretty young but still remember the effects of him spitting, the wind from him running around with the speaker effects, and the smell from his burp lol. Glad I still remember it to this day and sad to see it fall into such a state after so many years.
I would do or pay anything to sit in that room again, it was and always will be my favorite attraction! I know it'll never return, but I'd give or do anything to do it one last time!
Being there after Alien, my home attraction, closed I was in there at 3 am in the opposite chamber, I mentioned how I didn’t want Stitch in there and the shoulder restraints moved like something was stepping on them down coming towards us. It was a few months after Alien closed. The stuff we seen over the time there and stories told, you are very right to be scared of the Stitch as that chamber was the most haunted.
It’s kind of freaky because out in tomorrowland it’s so joyful and happy and then when you go in that abandoned building, it’s quiet and creepy. It’s so freaky.
I'm glad i got to experience this ride many times before its unexpected closure. This ride was a part of my childhood and i would sometimes go for that to pass the time since it usually had short waits. I miss this so much. It was a mistake imo to close down something that at least had some historical value to it.

I am AMAZED that DISNEY WORLD does not have locks on these back entrances to the attractions! Great video btw. I LOVED Alien Encounter, didn't care for the changes to Stitch. Eerie how some shoulder harnesses are raised in place one last time, and stuck there.

Well.. this is the 2nd best footage we got of stitch’s great escape still no footage of the actual Animatronics :( we need footage of them for proof but this is probably the last best footage we’ve got it’s been 4 years since it closed and has been Demolished.

Someone needs to write a creepypasta and title it "Stitch Escaped" or something. My summary idea, obviously inspired by FNAF, has me imagining they closed the ride because the animatronic kept trying to escape. CMs would notice small quirks at first like small pose changes when no one was looking. Then things would become more creepy and obvious like moving on its own, slowly moving its head like it can see people, then turning its whole body to do this, spitting on them despite having no water, until one day it gets off the platform. Maybe it gets somehow influenced by the previous attraction into believing it is a carnivorous alien which leads to an incident. It's theorized that the animatronic is gaining sentience with each viewing and proven by the seasonal shows. Eventually they shut it down to halt the progress, but have to keep the attraction up to keep him contained. Then an urban explorer goes in, encounters it yada yada, and accidentally leaves an emergency exit door open. Idk why I'm writing this. It's currently 3AM at the time lol.
