@@ChadandClaire Our first was with Carnival in 2006 for our 20th anniversary, our first cruise, booked through a travel agent. Then we did one with Norwegian CL that was free as my husband was a photography instructor for that one (long story!). And our 3rd Alaska was also NCL with a different itinerary. We have a son with multiple disabilities and cruising is actually a great way to travel with him as everything onboard is accessible. We have done 3 cruises with him, 2 NCL and one Disney. We like NCL a lot but we looove Disney. It’s worth the big price tag!

It makes me so happy knowing that cruises overall are disabled friendly, and even when we were onboard, we recognized how wheelchair accessible the entire vessel was. We have dreamed of taking a Disney cruise sometime down the line- perhaps to celebrate a big wedding anniversary or a birthday, just like how you did in 2006 haha. 😁 It looks like your 40th anniversary is coming up in a couple years- I'm sure you have something exciting planned for that one! 🥰
Wow! I've never thought about a cruise. This has changed my mind..the room is lovely and I've heard the food is outstanding. I believe it...when Claire is hungry she attacks her plate of food with the delicacy of a lumberjack. 😁 Upward and onward!
Yeah, same here! We looked into cruises after being invited on this one by my sister, but traveling by cruise hadn't really crossed our minds beforehand. I think we're big fans of it now, though! Food, transportation, accommodation, and experiences all in one place?! Sign us up hahaha. 😁 And, you're certainly right- I was delighting in the all-you-can-eat buffet as if I still had the metabolism of a 16 year-old-boy on a growth spurt haha. 🤣
I’ve done 3 Alaska cruises and I’d go again in a heartbeat 💓. Such beautiful views and wonderful people both off and on the cruise. An excursion to learn about the tribes and the meaning of the totem poles is amazing. The inside passage is the high point for me. Eagles, whales and an occasional bear. The waters are smooth as glass. Enjoy every moment.

They were from all over the world, and they were some of the kindest and most radiant people we've ever met! @4gx It depends on what type of crowd that you want to be with. For example f,or families with children, there is obviously Disney, but Princess Cruises is very family friendly. If you're a bit older and want to avoid screaming children, there's Holland America Line. I'm in Seattle and it is so convenient to sail to Alaska from here or Vancouver BC. I've done 5 Alaska cruises, one with Princess and the rest with Holland America Line.
This was the first cruise James and I took too... back in 2003...eek... 20 years ago... time flies... we had Port balcony so we faced inland the whole way for the views... looks like your adventure was great. Quiz time: Did you know the word POSH originated with transatlantic cruises? She had done lots of research on all the different cruise lines offering a route along the coast of Southeast Alaska, and she said Celebrity offered the best value overall. We really don't have any complaints from the entire experience, and we would certainly sail with them again! The ship we had was the Celebrity Millennium, which was newly renovated in 2019! 😁
We had a celebrity cruise booked for 2020 that was cancelled due to covid. I now want to book another my dilemma is do I still go with celebrity or will I miss not going to glacier bay. Any advice?

What is the name of the train/company that you guys used to get from Anchorage down to the ship? It looks like Claire had a back pack carry on for the train. What else will the train let you bring on board? I'm assuming that you checked your big cases at the train station. Thanks for your time.

You didn’t tell us much at all about what ship you were on, where you ate on board the ship, any helpful information to assist us if we want to book a similar trip. We don’t just simply want to see you on vacation. We want info. This is the second video I’ve watched from y’all and thoroughly disappointed both times.
