I have a question about the sliding door. Specifically where the basin drain exits. In the video, when the doors are installed, the drain is not plumbed. How was the drain plumbed to clear the sliding door?
This coop looks beautiful but as someone who takes care of chickens I see a bunch of problems with some of the features. The doors are a bad choice for example - how are you keeping rodents and predators out with those doors? Also they didn't install a small door for when it's cold and you want the chickens to be able to come and go freely but don't want to keep the human doors open and let out all the heat inside, or for when it's stormy and you don't want a bunch of rain inside your coop. Plus, assume anything inside the coop will get pooped on. A sink is a nice idea but it's going to get pooped on and in a LOT. I wouldn't be surprised if it became a nest in the winter when it's not being used :) Posting this here for anyone who might want to copy this design as there are already a few people in the comments.
No handles on the doors? Also seems weird to choose a faucet that specifically has both hot/cold knobs instead of one of the single knob/lever varieties. All looks good though, just got to wall off that sink or it will be full of poop and eggs in days lol
A vacuum breaker isn’t rated for below grade like that. Could become submerged. If he was watering his garden he needed at minimum a double check valve if it’s lowwww hazard but most places irrigation is a rpz
Was thinking the same thing, it serves no purpose in this situation; but Richard did say it was part of a kit, so they used it. Same goes for the faucet, they could have just used a single spigot.
@@ggreensuper1256I don't see how it is possible. We don't have chicken coops in my neighborhood but we do have plenty of all-season bird feeders. Any unlimited supply of food will eventually attract the wrong type of rodent and that becomes a problem for everyone in the area. 🤨

If a chicken and a half laid an egg and a half in a day and a half, how long would it take a grasshopper with a wooden leg to kick 1,000 seeds out of a watermelon? Answer: False - Ice cream does not have bones...
Man sure is awesome to help one of your own , great job guys , good friends are certainly one of life's great assets
"If you're a chicken I'm passing on the eggs" 😂
How do you you note wh house Buber it is
16:45 This is the one you don’t want to lose… Seconds later proceeds to drop it on the floor.
Knowing this first, I then watched the video, along came the scene, it cracked me up 😂
Big lesson to be learned. Protect wiring with metal conduit or something that animals can’t chew on instead of rebuilding the entire house

"You don't want to lose this gasket!" (Immediately loses gasket)
I'm sure it just fell on the floor, but I thought the same thing lol. I hope they could find it. 😅

So great to see the whole team involved. Bravo.
Great job guys. This chicken palace looks gorgeous.
Kevin - STOP SMILING while asking the questions- we don’t know until the very end if the chickens survived & you just keep smiling! 😮😂
What a blessing this coup is. I'd like one for my chickens. Actually I can use what you showed in a lot of places on my little farm
More videos like this please.
Great group project, love the show
Doorjambs are awesome 😊
9:16 I hope he meant "code compliant." 😂

And how do you keep mice out of a sliding door? I wanted to have that on my shed but I definitely have mice to consider.
Wow that’s a nice little chicken coop. Good job.
You're looking great Kevin!

That is the best chicken coop I've ever seen. It would have been great to see the chicken's in their new house
Awesome job
Gentlemen,
Without some wiring as a wall barrier around it, that sink is gojng to make a fancy chicken nest! 🪺

How do I find an episode that featured my home in Birmingham, AL?

I am so grateful the chickens survived! :D
Unfortunately the ones at KFC didn't.

They were delicious
Awesome work on the chicken coop! I just wish that you didn't ruin the charm of the barn with that dreaded paintjob.
You couldn’t paint the whole side of a barn looser!
Yeah, same thought here. Just stain it and call it good
i loved this show ❤️
Lots of place in the attic, for storage?
Repeat episode! 🥱
They said Chicken coop is too easy, build this man a chicken home.
More like chicken mansion! haha

I would have brought a bucket of fried chicken for dinner.
A squatter will probably move in by tomorrow. Good luck kicking them out.
Yes Richard haven’t left the team
Screw the chickens, you could rent that out for $4k a month

I don’t think that they can with a sliding door like that? Anyone suggestions? Maybe that’s a dumb question!
