Nono, I've been there too. I had a friend from work tell me about the trimmer, and it change the game for sure. I was about 175.00 at the time. there are other ways too, so you don't have to spend that kind of money, like a miter jig for the table saw. I might do the build. Thanks
Thanks a lot for the video. Don't we have to provide a chamfer to the inside of the stretcher members to avoid' sticking ' of the canvas to the sides of the stretchers? Thanking you in anticipation of a prompt reply.
Stretcher bars should be beveled or raised at the outer edge to minimize contact between the stretched canvas and the wood. Yours are flat and would create an impression in the canvas.
So helpful!! I’ve been looking for ways to make canvas cheaper and this will be so helpful. Thank you ☺️
I'm glad to hear that. Thanks for watching.
Certainly better than my method which is get close and then glop a bunch of wood filler in to make it work. Lol

Do you have a link to your art channel? I searched for it, but couldn't find it.

Yes, most commercially produced stretchers have that feature. Thanks for watching the video. Thanks for your question too.
Some have a recess as well.
