That is not how that works. A restraining order is the common terminology I believe for what is known as "Victim's Protective Order" which means those two would need to prove they put OP into danger of harm:
"Protective orders are available to people who have been physically abused, stalked or threatened with imminent physical harm by a family or household member. This includes spouses, ex-spouses, present spouses of ex-spouses, parents, children, people related by blood or marriage, people who live together or used to live together, and people who are the biological parents of a child."
There is no form of Restraining Order that a judge can issue solely for Financial Leeching or Parasitism. All the two would need to do is provide evidence of or provide simple testimony that they are in fact trying to get jobs to become financially stable again on their own. Even then, there is not much the Judge could do be it evidence proven or Not. They would simply advise OP (or yourself in this situation) to legally evict them from your household. Otherwise, you have made yourself their Dependent on your own free will. You let them in. You knew of their situation. And they told you. You still let them in. You took on their responsibility of well being for a temporary amount of time. You can sue them in small claims court later, but that is a whole other matter.
You need to get rid of these idiots . Before they permanently screw up your life .

Unfortunately It Happens. I've Had First Hand Experience With IT.
A friend of mine helped her middle son and his wife. She invited them to live with her and got her son a job. They were homeless in a tent in some park. A few months after they moved in they moved two friends in and made her life hell. The four of them ganged up on her kicked her out the landlord refused to help her or take her off the lease. So now she has to pay for their vandalism ofthe apartment and the two months of rent they didn't pay.

Many, many years ago my husband and I were trying to help a young mother and her kids by letting them stay with us. She tried hitting on hubby 😂😂😂! The day she chose to try to take my place was a birthday party at my house with my family and friends. She got slapped and kicked out in front of everyone!!! And I told her parents what she did! (We are friends, that's why we helped.) We have a good laugh about it now. My husband is LOYAL.
@@frankamcneil7970 she did but with out te landlords help they only told the 4 that she had to be let in. She is 4 ft 6 barely 90 lbs. The others were 5ft 4 and well over 150 lbs. Plus, she's 53. They were mid to early twenties with one being a 31 year old male and the other her son being 25. And becoming violent throwing things while his wife and girlfriend both threatened her. It was like police telling her go find some where else to stay and come back or pay to break the lease that what 5,000 dollars at one time. She'd used up her saves taking care of her son and his wife before he got the job she got for him. His wife was disabled but refused to what she needed to do in order to receive assistance and refused to work. So that's why she's now having to rely on her two other children.
They STARTED the fire? Because they didn't like their apartment, no doubt. RED FLAGS!!! And yes, she should have called the police and reported them immediately.

This one brought back some memories. One of my younger cousins and her boyfriend died from smoke inhalation caused by one of them falling asleep with a lit cigarette. I remember it making the news and it showed the smoke detectors on the counter with the batteries taken out. Stacey had two small kids back then and luckily neither of them were home at the time. That was in the early 90s if I remember correctly.
When I was a small child, MANY years ago, the man who lived in the downstairs apartment caused a fire by falling asleep with a lit cigarette. I can remember sometime later being able to look through the hole down to his bedroom. Nobody died, but it was an uproar. I was too small to remember more than that.
If the house is a rental, how could mom and dad leave it to op?!

I lived in an apartment complex where someone made a tennis ball cannon with a pipe and black powder, then set it off in the apartment. Completely wrecked their apartment.
A friend of mine had his drunk teenager kid set off a firework that ended up going into his garage and started the insulation on fire when my friend and his wife were away.
But hay drunken stupidity from a teenager that was left home alone for a few days wasn't as surprising back in the day but even drunk he still managed to get the fire out before the fire department got there and it didn't spread beyond 1 sheet of drywall and about a foot or two of insulation needing to be replaced

This is so full of anomolies. Miley inherited $100,000, all the older sister got was the house - and then it turns out that she doesn't even own the house but pays rent. So, basically all she inherited was the lease on the house?! And there's no way a court would put $1M of debt onto a tenant. Most people won't earn that in their entire working life! I don't know about US law, but certainly in the UK you can get a Judgment against someone (be it a tenant, or someone who injures you or whatever), but if they don't have the money to pay that Judgment sum then they basically get off scott free. A debtor cannot be forced to work day and night to pay off a debt if they have no money
