In my opinion, this album sounded amazing in full. With me being a new fan of As I Lay Dying since early this year, this album was a 10/10 in my opinion.
And yeah, it was hard seeing all the members leave the band, but I still love listening to their music.

The album fucking slaps. Cave We Fear To Enter is my favorite song off the album. The title track also kicks ass. That album definitely gets a 5/5. As I Lay Dying never misses! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻⛈️🌪️

Imo this is the 3rd best AILD album. The cave we fear to enter is a top 10, maybe even top 5 song from them.
I'm pleasantly surprised how amazing this album turned out. I've been really let down the past few years from mediocre new music from bands I like. AILD really really came through for me

Tim has a group of loyalists in Austrian Death Machine that he can plug and play for As I Lay Dying. The one member who’s going to be difficult to replace is Phil since he wrote the majority of their songs. I think the next iteration of the band is going to be heavier, like a mashup of Tim’s side projects. Time will tell.
All that aside, this album fucking slaps. I love it. Probably my favorite in their discography.
If I'm not wrong, Austrian Death Machine just left the band. As good as a screamer he is, and as a fan who seen them front row in their very last show, Tim seems to be the problem here

@ No worries! - If I may, give Polaris a listen sometime if you haven’t, think you’d like them. Fatalism is a solid album. Awesome gym bangers on it to get a good pump going. A second or third to AILD for me.
As an OG fan of AILD I've always loved there work this album is in my opinion there number 1 album and I'm genuinely sad Tim Didn't grow up they say prison will change a man for the better but Tim is living proof that you can't change a man only that man can change himself i genuinely hope Tim fixes his shit and I'd like to see AILD succeed and this line up was the best line up of all time beating the OG AILD line up and who knows maybe we get this line up back in the future but Tim needs to get help that man is fucked up and deranged and two line ups have now left AILD because Tim and for the success AILD deserves he needs to take responsibility and own his mistakes instead of playing pin the blame on the others 🙏 😢 how ever this album was a 10/10 it's going on repeat for me lol

I had the same feeling on the chorus of Gears that never stop. For me that song needs a heavy chorus, with growls like we are the dead, or something like that. Really great album anyways but really sad.

Eh Logan. The three tracks I like on this album are (in order as fav): ''The Cave We Fear To Enter'' ''Taken From Nothing'' (the chorus with clean vocals hits me deep) and ''The Void Within''. ''Burden'' is okay, but not as memorable.
Other songs I really like from them from other albums are (not in order): ''Tear Out My Eyes'' ''The Toll It Takes'' ''Torn Between'' and ''My Own Grave''

I’m a sucker for a great catchy chorus so Strength to Survive is the best song on the album for me, Burden is a close 2nd and Cave We Fear to Enter is 3rd, Gears that Never Stop is easily the worst song on the album

Long time AILD fan here, Im not the biggest fan of this album.. Its not bad but if I didnt recognize Tim's vocals I would think this is just another ''generic'' metalcore album and not As I lay dying. The riffs are pretty cool but the cleans don't really work for me I'm not going to lie. Ryan is a great vocalist but his style fits Miss may I better
Maybe I'm just spoiled by how good their older albums were, I don't know

This album is too chorus depended.I like it but it is taken to the extreme with songs like Strength to survive and Gears that never stop,i can't stand these songs because of the butt rocky choruses.
