Starting next month in January! Watching your videos are helping my nerves calm down because I don’t know anything about construction. Thank you my friend!
There so many different trades not just pipe fitting. I’m in Northern California and there is so many good unions here so maybe just go through the ones you could see yourself doing
5months late but I’m binge watching all 5 haha happy for you!! Currently trying to get into plumbing union so hearing an apprentice’s experience is super helpful 🙏 keep it coming
Love the videos bro. I’m outta LA goin to join the pipefitters union n your videos are giving me that extra push I needed to start. Keep up the good work. 👍🏾
What do your hours look like any overtime yet or is the school overtime? Do you get paid at the school? Lots of questions. Thanks for making a topic about this.
Recently it's been 40 hours, but I will say that over the summer i was working 50 hours a week for about 8 weeks. Summer tends to be the busiest, where as winter things slow down and remain at 40 hours a week, I do not get paid at the school.
I will say that the application process was pretty straight forward, once you apply, you will be given instructions to bring identification and references, and after that you will take a Bennett mechanical test/math, that includes multiplication, division, subtraction, and fractions, if you passed, you will get called to an interview!
Oh man I hate that Vic, wait till you get to sweat some copper or weld some pipe, best advice is go into your training center any chance you get and weld weld weld, get your welding game tight it will make you the most money as an apprentice, I’m a 3rd year and been making a year ahead pay for 2 years now because I could pass a 6g weld test
I believe that in January I will start my welding classes! I'm really interested in learning and crafting that skill! And you are absolutely right about the money! Also Every welder I've talked to have not been laid off, because of how much work there is available in my area!

Help me see how the application went for you, if there was a test. How can I prepare myself with? What math to study before? Is there study guides.
