This young lady is an absolute genius, I'm in awe just listening to her, surely a talent like this is God given plus a lot of hard work, long may she continue to delight audiences all over the world.
This piece is most difficult to play, and it was played so emotionally, beautifully gripping. Thank you. My older sister played this piece flawlessly. She took her life. Thank you for bringing back her memory, my talented, genius sister. Thank you. I will keep this recording with me always.
Carlene , I too have a deep emotional reaction to hearing this young ladies performance . I have the solo piano score (Harms Inc. N.Y. ) that my grandmother used to play for me . She passed in 1972 , but lives on through the music she introduced to me . Though I'm a rock kinda guy this is my most favorite song of all time and this young lady , as we say , " Rocks It " .
@@steveneverettewalker7330Thank you ever so for your reply! Why am I in tears? Diane, my sister was brilliant, yet, she was so betrayed by her religion, and by our Mother. I still mourn for her. We would play such difficult duets. She pushed me to be my best, and I will always hold those memories of us playing "Exodus", and other impossible duets for me to learn. Diana had an incredible ability to immediately learn to memory every piece she ever played, and to write music with extensive knowledge of difficult chords. Thank you for your kindness. Carleen
You are very welcome Carleen ! Thank you for responding . I am very new to TH-cam and this world of digital communication and , well , I wasn't to sure of proper protocols about posting etc... Your comment was very moving and brought up such memories both wonderful and , yes , a bit painful that I was compelled to post . Very nice to have met you " digitally " ! Music is truly one of the greatest creations of mankind !
I dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost my account password. I love any help you can offer me.
What an inspired interpretation. She's made it her own but stayed true to the feel of New York at night. On a technical aspect. Wow... excellent velocity, dynamics and touch. Many kudos!
I like this .. It's well paced and very musical. The slower tempos and rubato probably not to everyone's taste but very effective. One of the best performances I've heard. The piano, recording and production are also excellent.
Such a wonderful performance Anna. I was spellbound. The magic of your piano playing, your body movement and facial expressions is truly awesome. Thank you so much.
She is remarkable, my favorite song of all time. It almost looks like she's not touching the keys, like someone else is touching them. This is amazing. Thank you.

Watching this video, it's like there's a third party performing with them, the young lady, the piano and some abstract third identity which seems to completely take over her, it's uncanny.
I must disagree with most previous comments: I did not appreciate the liberties taken in this rendition. Maybe it is best to emphasize 'rendition!' Compare with George Gershwin playing it himself!
This is by far my favourite rendition of this piece on TH-cam. Thank you Anna!
I've never seen before someone playing with such a feeling and passion.
Her prformance is amazing. Congratulations!!!

My favourite solo piano rendition of this masterpiece.
Agh, this is the interpretation that I had long been looking for.

Yep the best solo version I've ever heard.

Oohhh I really love her interpretation of this piece. Love the faces she's making too. Haha she really enjoyed playing it.
Best ever, brava
Großartig!!
Bravo.

Grandeeeee!!!
Epic. I swear I can almost hear an orchestra there.
Much more graceful than Shimkus, and even Gershwin himself. That being said, all three are incredible.
Fantastic~^^*
👏 Bravisimo|||||
reminds me of bernstein's playing, amazing performance
Sometimes I wonder why America are not able to produce musicians like the wonderful composers of the '30s,/' 40s / ' 50s.
Whoever composed that music was smoking something at the time he did! 😁
Divina...
A very difficult piece. Good rendition.
Wonderful!

She's an actress too! Maybe even a dancer. I love it!
That explains how she memorized the long piece.

Yeah, but still impressive
She’s good at piano
The love theme is like an old postcard of Manhattan!
Not bad. .... An inspirational performance.
Não quero ir a Nova York, não pode ser mais bela do que ouvi.
Anna what edition did you use to learn the score of Rhapsody on Blue.
АWSOME!🔥🤍🙏
Excellently played with just a couple of tiny little mistakes, but I LOVE your interpretation!

Perché tutto così legato? Mi sembra quasi che abbia fretta di finire? 🤔

Maybe Gershwin
Who knew Sarah Silverman could play the piano?
(6:16) There's always that ONE person in the audience. Argh!!
Gershwin played it with a much more even and quicker tempo.
Chappeau!
