They should have had Barry Gray do the music for the 1968 classic _2001: A Space Odyssey_ (in the same style as the outro music for UFO), instead of the slightly out of place classical music they used.
Interesting. Didn't know this was shown in Japan at the time and seems to have gained somewhat of a following there too. Also, a lot of the series in the 1960s/70s spent money on making good intro/outro music. Not so common now.
@@minshullmisako At the time, the special effects seemed so good since there wasn't really much else to compare it to. Maybe just _2001: A Space Odyssey_ which was out at the time. But by today's standards, the effects look dated. In the UK in the 1960s we also had the Japanese anime cartoon Marine Boy 海底少年マリン aired, which was popular over here with kids.

1970年に日本テレビで放送されたのを見ました。先進的で、おしゃれで、セクシーで、男の子にとってはたまらんSFでした。
男の子には、Hな要素が必要です。いつの時代でも。
5歳(1987年)頃にVHSの劇場未公開の月面基地破壊計画を擦り切れるほど繰り返し観てました。幼稚園児の時の将来の夢は宇宙飛行士でした(笑)
大人になり、初回限定盤のBlu-ray BOXを買い、あの時の興奮と感動を今でも楽しんでいます！
