Dubois should have the golden metal of evil. She attempted to kill the protagonists, while Makunga never tried to kill Alex or Zuba. He was just an arrogant and pompous jerk.
I mean makunga was ok with letting Alex go off the reserve aka certain death And also is telling younger and smaller animals to fight for water in a fight he would 100% win Dubois at the very least doesnt throw her own crew under the bus if it’s only one thing that makes her morally better than makunga, who will gladly put the entirety of Africa under the bus to get his way

Besides, he's and has always been loyal king Julien, even before he for his foot fetish from when Julien used his feet to defeat the fossa (see first episode of all hail king julien). He always believed in his king.

I really like Zuba because according to the creators, they made the alpha lion into Alex's dad so he would "be someone very powerful who is in [Alex's] life whether he likes it or not. Then the twist is that he isn't an asshole(though maybe occasionally insensitive). He is generally a nice guy."
He was rude to Alex, though. Moral of the story is, let your kids pursue their interests and accept it.
