Beautiful boat! Someday I hope to own this boat. I'm 50 with disabilities, but I would love to have this boat to give my wife the weekends that she deserves! Hopefully someday! Thank you for the video! 🇺🇸✌️
Regarding the SE Sport 400 hydrofoil, I typically don't like the tradeoff of having a hydrofoil (drag vs. benefit). However, on a small boat like the Robalo R160, which is a$$ heavy to begin with (because of the engine and the fuel tank located all the way the rear of the boat) a hydrofoil definitely helps with getting on a plane, and also helps a bit with porpoising. Normally I'd a say scrap it (on a larger boat), but on this boat it is very useful, and I'd even say necessary. This particular #hydrofoil is a no-drill unit and is super simple to install. You can get it pretty much anywhere but I bought mine at #overtons. Linked here: www.overtons.com/se-sport-400-no-drill-hydrofoil-fits-engines-over-40-hp-307733.html
things I do not like, the rear external tank on the stern, flexing in the seat back, and the flexing grab rail on the fold-down windshield, It is a good boat, but now that Robalo is Chappreal and French i don't think it's going to hold a solid fan base, plus size is it has hydrologic easy steering where other boats in its size do not,
For a 16 ft boat, absolutely. My R160 handles 3 ft waves with ease keeping in mind it’s never “fun” to be out in very choppy water. I feel completely comfortable taking my 2018 R160 12-14 miles offshore when trolling in Lake Michigan, weather permitting. I’ve only been out in the ocean 1x in Cape May, NJ but have had it out in Delaware Bay and the Gulf out of Destin, Fl multiple times and felt completely safe. This is a great little boat for fishing.

Thanks for the kind words. Best of luck to you!!
Nice summary of the R160! I'll just add that being able to store it in the garage is an important plus for many boaters.
Agree! Thanks for mentioning that!
Nice
Thank you!
Love it!
Thanks!!
Looking at this boat and a Whaler 150 Montauk. Thoughts between the two?

Is this sea worthy?
