From this we can garner that L's form of justice isn't set on any specific principle or teaching. Its the pursuit of defeating injustice is justice in of itself. It isnt to rid the world of any specific evil or philosophy, rather as a reaction to injustice. its more practical to point out injustices that occur rather than a broad definition of what is just. He sees justice as a reponse to injustice. L takes the form of inquisitor with this role, as an ambiguous argument against Kira.

I love the song even more without the language barrier. The lyrics really do delve into the motives of Light Yagami. Had the best of intentions in his heart, to bring real justice for the world. But ended up utilizing the most deceptive and wicked measures to pursue that dream.
It didn't create a new personality it just brought out what was already inside him and gave it the opportunity to grow and prosper, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
No Light Yagami was just a murder and the Death Note proved to be the most dangerous weapon of mass murder in human history. Light yielded to the power of the Shinigami and the notebook and confused himself with a god but in the end he proved to be nothing other than a crazy serial killer thats all Light was nothing more and nothing less. Kira, sees himself as an innocent flower while spreading his dark 'love' (death) around the world. Or, it means he was a flower, blooming from the love of innocent people, and killing those who shared the same darkness as him, but he sees himself as pure despite being no better from them. Hm....nah, I'm looking too far into this lol
What I like about Death Note is that it makes you wonder, is Light a good guy, or is he a bad guy? I know that in the current world, he is considered a villain, but that's only because the world we currently live in has decided that such actions are evil. But what he had succeeded in creating a new world, then maybe such actions would have been considered good.
that's the point is, the moral and history is dictated by the winner same as with what happen if ww1 won by central power or ww2 won by axis? the point i took from that is the moral between right or wrong maybe subjective to everyone but can be heavily influenced by the greater power or figure in your community thus resulting "The history dictated by the winner" because no one will disagree with the winner. tho it is only heavily influenced, the personal experience will make you to choose whether to go with the flow or make your own moral compass
I think that refers to Light's flawed logic that the ends (making the world a better place) would justify the means (murder) despite it being wrong in of itself. It eventually drove him to insanity as he continued to rationalize his increasingly irrational behavior to himself without a care for how far things had escalated until it was too late.
@@Blah894 i have to disagree. what he didn't realise is that using the notebook and killing people will corrupt him (and have addictive aspects as well). effectively removing bad people from the world isn't inherently bad, or at least not as black and white as usually stated. light started his journey to help people, but ended up killing alot of good-hearted people for very light crimes (and potentially mistakes) or eventually just for his comfort.

I honestly wasn't blown away by death note, but light was one of the most well-developed and believable villains I've ever come across, and this song perfectly illustrates why. He truly believes that he is the good guy, and the audience isn't just told this, but they follow his journey into darkness every step of the way, and we really understand why he becomes who he is.
I never knew the lyrics to this song even though I've watched the series at least a dozen times. I'm glad I've seen this, it just adds a whole new dimension to the song. You can just feel Light's god complex in this song
The lyrics to this song can be taken 2 different ways. If you don’t know what this is from, you may think it’s from the perspective of a hero, being selfless to save everyone. But when you know it’s about Light, it completely changes the feel of the song. Instead of being heroic and selfless, it’s self righteous and slightly sociopathic. I don’t know if it’s just me? But the way he played the music, it gives of a heroic tone. Like something you would hear from one punch man or my hero academia.
I suppose this makes sense considering the lyrics are taken from lights point of view, and how he sees himself as the good guy. So it only seems fitting that the music would be made to match it

Yes for sure. These are the accurate lyrics and Light thinks of himself as a hero who see the sacrifice of innocents who attempt to stop him necessary in order to save the world

I think there's a deeper meaning behind that, I think it means Light is no longer....well...Light. Kira, sees himself as an innocent flower while spreading his dark 'love' (death) around the world. Or, it means he was a flower, blooming from the love of innocent people, and killing those who shared the same darkness as him, but he sees himself as pure despite being no better from them. Hm....nah, I'm looking too far into this lol

I know that in the current world, he is considered a villain, but that's only because the world we currently live in has decided that such actions are evil. But what he had succeeded in creating a new world, then maybe such actions would have been considered good.

I think that refers to Light's flawed logic that the ends (making the world a better place) would justify the means (murder) despite it being wrong in of itself. It eventually drove him to insanity as he continued to rationalize his increasingly irrational behavior to himself without a care for how far things had escalated until it was too late.

what he didn't realise is that using the notebook and killing people will corrupt him (and have addictive aspects as well).
effectively removing bad people from the world isn't inherently bad, or at least not as black and white as usually stated.
light started his journey to help people, but ended up killing alot of good-hearted people for very light crimes (and potentially mistakes) or eventually just for his comfort.

I honestly wasn't blown away by death note, but light was one of the most well-developed and believable villains I've ever come across, and this song perfectly illustrates why. He truly believes that he is the good guy, and the audience isn't just told this, but they follow his journey into darkness every step of the way, and we really understand why he becomes who he is.
I never knew the lyrics to this song even though I've watched the series at least a dozen times. I'm glad I've seen this, it just adds a whole new dimension to the song. You can just feel Light's god complex in this song

The lyrics to this song can be taken 2 different ways. If you don’t know what this is from, you may think it’s from the perspective of a hero, being selfless to save everyone. But when you know it’s about Light, it completely changes the feel of the song. Instead of being heroic and selfless, it’s self righteous and slightly sociopathic. Especially the lyric “please tell me why; am I a savior, meant to save us all?” It’s not a desperate cry, but Light’s brain slowly twisting into the mastermind he turns out to be. It gave me chills
