I adjust this based on the device I’m designing for and sometimes even the design itself (might be smaller If I’m designing a magazine layout for example) I find 32 to be a good base width for large desktop screens. What do you prefer?
Fontscale generates a very specific size based on the basesize you input and the ratio you select. This is meant to be used as a general guide and tweaked or rounded up or down to meet the needs of your specific layout or grid. For example, say you are using a 4 point baseline grid to design your website. You could round size 19.25 up to 20 (nice whole number and it’s divisible by 4) that way it works with YOUR designs.
