As an auto-layout ambassador, I can attest that you can't find a better feature in the world. I love auto-layouts, I want to snuggle up with auto-layouts not a blanket, I want to add auto-layouts to my tea.

Great review and summary. The nesting behaviors definitely get crazy quickly, especially using Libraries that you didn't design yourself. But there feels like something is missing to help teams "debug" where the layout problems are. With all the nesting we end up spending a lot of time tracing through the parents and children looking for the issues because a lot of the settings are only seen in the side panel... very frustrating.
I personally am waiting for Figma to rollout an feature where I can to type out a prompt and let my entire Figma file get autolayoutized. I am done trying to act like I am ever going to learn this I got bigger fish to fry. God bless you all who still trying to figure out the auto layout thing in 2024.

it is also convenient for developing, since frames in a auto-layout is very similar to divs in a flexbox.
