@@AryaSumerta I'm pretty sure they have a conical area of affect. Meaning the further away you are, the wider the reach they have, but it's a lot weaker pulling it directly to them instead of generally towards them. AKA, if you had 5 logic magnets lined up all on one side of a conveyor, the magnets would first work in unison to pull things towards the direction they're at relative to the conveyor belt AND THEN once they get within 1 block space of the magnet, then they'll start pulling towards individual magnets. The reach of the logic magnets isn't super far either, so it's not like you'd need to worry about pulling dirt/ice and your shard bars from your intake lines. Best practice would be have a funnel down and a magnet underneath the smelter (practically the smelter is on top of the magnet.) However, this is only good for mid to big-small builds. For very VERY large builds, I'd suggest building a manifold smelting system. It takes more logic and piping and belts, but you won't get clogs. Have each resource go down it's own path, have those paths split with a conveyor sorter with nothing on it. A sorter with nothing on it will alternate between an item going straight through and an item being sorted. Do this and branch it about 3 times and have each of those end in logic smelters. Have those hooked up to counters that will dump and reset after so many nuggets past them and then have the bars all belted into 1 central smelter. It's convoluted, but it prevents clogging by dividing up the load into smaller portions (usually clogs are a nugget not falling in all the way and then getting physics locked outside the smelter or compressor) and spacing out when things are falling in. If the nuggets are coming off a belt, they don't have physics. The moment they physics lock, then they suddenly have physics that everything interacts with, and having a constant stream of stuff jam into a physics locked gem or nugget is usually what causes those "explosive" clogs.
You initially dug that middle layer flat by only having one booster on your driving flamethrower. Remove one of the boosters and you won't be able to dig below that level. That being said, it seems to me that it should be easier to keep the floor level with that machine.
18:10 Just a thought for opening a hole big enough for the drill to fit down, if the flame truck keeps melting the area below itself, just set it one spot, angle it down, turn it on and walk away for like 15 minutes
Did anybody else want to scream at the video stating that the tier 3 pick was right on his left while he was buying the tier 3 TNT! I like it when he gets a genuine case of the dums and not realizing it.
I know I said that the experience of the huge machines was something that needed to be experienced, but after watching like the first 3 minutes of this video and seeing EVERY WRONG CHOICE Blitz made concerning the huge drill......... Anyone who hasn't gotten them yet, don't be like Blitz. Prepare for the worse and expect it. They're "fun" but a hassle and they take great skill in placing them where you want them or bending track comprehensively to make them work. Either way, they're not for the lazy Hydroneer. BTW, by wrong choice, I mean he grabbed gold instead of cloutium, got in his lava truck instead of the lava hauler, and assumed he could fit it down in what he already had dug out. No, no, and no. My best advice is to use the Lava Thaw (lava tank) to carve out a decently large area in the middle of a site. Take off the boosters like people have been suggesting and go at it methodically. Clear out 1 layer, then the next, and then the last one with ample room to both lower in your heavy drills and belt the stuff out. As you're thawing down, make sure to set up piping for both water and lava AND belts. It goes from 4D chess to 7D Parcheesi when you get those things involved. Also, the main advantage the huge harvester has is that it slams the harvester and the ice melter into 1 mahoosive machine. It's great for powering belt systems for processing your resources and getting materials up into it from a certain distance, but you can definitely get more steady mileage out of an ice melter with 3 small drills dumping into it feeding water for your main belts out of your pit mine. Yeah, you can run it all on the Harvester water, but that means you're relying on ample ice blocks to be dug up, and the rich ice/dirt tends to favor the ice rock over the blocks. For your refining area, use funnels and sheet metal panels to physically separate your smelters from each other and to keep resource within the confines of their smelter area. It seems some of them are shooting wild off the belt. If you funnel them into the smelter, they'll go in. If you wall them in with cheap panels, they'll stay in better.
A tip to stop floating resource jams on conveyors: turn autosave off, or increase the time between autosaves to 30 minutes. Also don't alt tab the game. The brief little pause that happens when you autosave or tab out can cause a resource to float momentarily while calculating velocity and cause a jam. You also didn't need to 30-point turn the truck to crane the heavy drill and harvester. There's "crane clockwise" and "crane counterclockwise" keybinds to rotate the crane. Please read the HUD more.
Blitz have you considered investing in funnels for your smelters? I’m not sure if it’ll catch all the ores but it’ll have a better chance at ensuring they stay in a general area and you can easily magnetize them and drop them in!
hey blitz, you were having trouble with the flame tank because when you carved out the second to bottom layer you couldnt eat through the tier 3 dirt so you just needed to remove one of the canisters from the back.
The rake will add dirt and ice if you have a significant column of it going out the distance you want, otherwise it will flatten everything in the box.
so the best way to redo this build with the mega structures is to have 1 mega drill up top for the water shards and many down on t3 dirt. have the harvester on the surface because now you dont need 2 different lines to power both lava and water. Have the 1 surface drill and all subterranean drills feed into the one mega harvester and youll get all your water ice for the water pipes and just filter the resources coming out the harvester
Ive also found (after leaving my system to run overnight) that resources on the lift conveyors (weirdly only iron, gold and hardstone) can get glitched on the very edge and not fall into the Cauldrons, causing the same catastrophic pile-up that crashed my game.... Instead of using the lift conveyors, I now use straight conveyors with the merge hook and I have yet to have the resource pile-ups =)
i keep remembering the ol eternal cylinder series thinking its pretty old and decided to go back to them. THEYRE ONLY 3 YEARS AGO. THREE, HOW AM I FEELING OLD WHEN IM THIS YOUNG
I think he needs to make the hole big enough so he can drive down the bottom tier because think about it I don't think he wants to play this crazy method long term of trying to blow up more holes then needed just to not be able to move them and need to do it again
put logic magnets under the smelters. no wires are required, just place em and they prevent most of all clogging.
so it always one? will it attract ore from the other line? cause i have the same problem whenever i run the machine for a long time

Crazy idea but dugout all of tier one and tier two dirt so it’s easy to work down there and it will look clean

I was thinking the same thing..
Bread definitely wants to see a giant deep factory with those inside a deep cave lol.

You could potentially make a pilot hole by dripping lava over the area where you want the hole...
Any day that Blitz uploads a hydroneer video is a good day...
He spends so much time on these videos and it really shows with how far he can progress
I would also put in a couple of those centering things, they seem to help with stuff not getting stuck
18:32 That was impressive, and I'm going to try to replicate that. I want smooth ceilings and the rake is too small.
3:04 you can use funnels
BOYS BLITZ HAS DONE IT AGAIN

it s physics issue. those types can stick down into the conveyor and get stuck on the structure.
You should make a ramp going down with the shovel big enough for your truck to
You should use the flame tank to excavate part of the plot all the way to the bottom
Blitz you know, you can use the scrap cubes to make a bar
YAY more hydroneer! I love this series so much
i keep remembering the ol eternal cylinder series thinking its pretty old and decided to go back to them. THEYRE ONLY 3 YEARS AGO. THREE, HOW AM I FEELING OLD WHEN IM THIS YOUNG
you can use a lava drip pipe to fuel your vehicles, no more bucket
I was just binge watching your hydrometer bideis
Buy the plot with the lava holes underground and make a nuke tunnel, big lava pressure
Need either another magnet-stick or GPS tag, to locate the magnet-stick...
YOU ARE MY FAVOURITE TH-camR!
goated channel
dirt/snow only demands on level. taking top lvl dirt down to the bottom makes it t3 dirt, and vice versa
I remember back in the day when blitz made that huge mine and then blew it up with nukes 🤣
Blitz: cloudium what’s that it’s called corestone
I love your videos ! The goofy music is a bit too loud but other than that great and funny content!
A reason why your machine broke might be because your ores are not centered. Theres a decive that center the ore on the belt.
Also the nuke isn't that much bigger
Hydroneer is designed in such a deliberately hostile way that I will never play it, but I appreciate masochists like Blitz who share their pain.
This morning i tought when is Blitz Posting hydroneer again and then i saw you postet
I could feel the frustration seething forth today!
Blitz you could remove the thaw booster from the flamethrower truck
remove flamer upgrades when trying to prevent digging under the tank
I'm kinda enjoying the longer video's
Blitz pc brp is strong as hell
I hope the boys and wife are going well mate
Who remembers the factory with water under the machines
I like your video's so much.
Keep the good work.
Made my day. 🙂
You have to get rid of the whole tier 1 and 2 dirt layer.
Decathn's real size is probably like a refrigerator both of them
Yay more hydroneer
Blitz you have to remove one of the things on the back of flamethrower tank
How does he mine out such a smooth area
If you get a huge crystal you should name it Billy Crystal.... lol
He could take the lava tank upgrade and only mine the 2 nd layer
Blitz, just take one module off of the lava tank ya dingus 😭
I feel this would have been way faster to core out the whole dang plot lmfao
yes
Does this game have like a story mode or something I’ve seen you play it before and I actually like it, but I don’t wanna waste my time and money.
This video went by too fast . This is the only series ive watched from you. So hope u upload this kore often
Could you please play more Jurassic World evolution 2?
Blitz use the t4 tips
I think blitz's brian its a bit laggy today
Go to main island for nukes and bombs
I think he needs to make the hole big enough so he can drive down the bottom tier because think about it I don't think he wants to play this crazy method long term of trying to blow up more holes then needed just to not be able to move them and need to do it again
Love your vids blitz
W man bro got money
Nice vid
This is why I don't stream or make TH-cam videos. The struggle.
Hi blitz
😮😮😮😮😮😮😢
My phone just wanted to watch the vis so it headed there
19:00 why didn’t he just take out a trough
Love these video!!!
What area do you use
Yeah more mining
If he is blitz
Then,
I am Blotz
WOW
Hello I’m the kid you tricked with the new player thing
Play bitlife you Will love it 😂
Can you and Intern play Valheim?
Why didn't he load the mega drill in his mini truck
JUST REMOVW THE TIER THING ON THE LAVA THAW
SO YOU CANT DIG THE OTHER TIER DIRT
blitz you can sell the bricks
hello
Finally ❤😊
5:21
Hey
hi
I like cheese
15 mins, yessir
i am the drill
Yesss boiii u r the drill

This buggy mess of a game is a masterclass in horrible UX. The fact that some people enjoy playing it baffles me, but hey, to each their own.
