I haven't ridden on BART since the early 2000's! Didn't realize that this Line goes through Castro Valley! I used to hike up around Anthony Chabot and Dry Creek/Pioneer Rec area's! What a great resource you guys have in BART! I'm from the Southeastern US We also have resources that Residents don't take advantage of! Great job and great video 📸!
Thank you for watching! BART is a great resource and connects a really big service area. Glad that this video was able to bring back some good memories for you.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed. The trains are quite nice and I agree, the trains were pretty clean during my visit. Hopefully they stay nice and clean into the future.
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed. BART interiors have always been spacious and the interior treatment is clean and bright. These were great rides to take.
Does the FUN(Fremont Union City Newark) Connection still run? As I recall in the mid to late,90's which ran buses across the Bay from SFO to the East Bay I believe they used the San Mateo Toll Bridge 🌉! Just curious about that!
@@orionviii Thanks for the swift reply! I've often wondered if sometime in the future they might build a 2nd Transbay Tube that roughly follows the track of the San Mateo Toll Bridge 🌉? This could be connected to a future Transfer Terminal at the Bay Fair Station 🚉 for East Bay and South Bay environs! Just a thought 🤔!
The fact most Bart lines are every 20 minutes or even less is amazing to me as a dc’r? where we never see less than 12 except after 9:30 where some lines drop to 15
Much of this video was recorded over the weekend when service levels were lower, but the wide headways on BART really reduce how useful the network can be for its riders. You might enjoy this very similar video from DC: th-cam.com/video/X9iVXLyHzcA/w-d-xo.html
Almost all stations get a train every 4-10 minutes and you can transfer to the right train at a transfer station. Bart is a very transfer oriented system.
In reality BART is safer than almost any US transit system. Check their crime stats. The reputation of the system simply doesn't match reality in this case.

@@orionviii Very welcome! I'll be sure and subscribe to your Channel!
Great video! The new trains look really nice & seats look easier to clean.

I used to take the BART to San Francisco for a ride to Fisherman’s Wharf and Downtown Berkeley to the Rep Theater.
Lots of great destinations can be reached on BART. Where are you going next?
Nice
I wish you good health and a nice day 🌞☕

Thank you! I'm glad that you enjoyed!
I think I've took the Orange line to Coliseum station
Nice video! And the interior of these trains are pretty nice at: 3:32

I don't think that still runs. Hopefully someone who knows for sure notices this comment and replies.

29:15 "Do not play tennis on the platform."
Potentially the best set of announcements I've ever heard anywhere on transit. Very happy you picked up on it!
