Dude, I must have been playing this game for over a year. And never really felt I had the vibes to push for an Infinite. But consistently was able to slowly finish the seasons at a bit higher rank. The last season having me at around the rank 80. With this season's early madness of Hela and Lockjaw power slam and discard combo decks, I was able to break 90. And today it finally manifested. I was really bummed out about the nerfs in the last OTA, since I had started leaning heavily into Hela and Lockjaw, and had backup decks with Darkhawk. I had resolved myself to yet again finish short of Infinite at the end of this season. Until, I was pretty much throwing out anything that stuck on the board after the day after the OTA. With some luck, and the first Proxima Midnight deck you showcase here, I was able to break through to Infinite! Thank you for everything you do for us. You are the hero we didn't ask, but the hero we needed. Good vibes only.
iVE HAD AN IDEA, WHAT ABOUT A 6 COST 9 power card (or something similar) that comes back to your hand on turn 6 if you've discarded it earlier ? Couldn't it help discard as a dependable archetype ? I've had this in my head for some time and idk i thought maybe it could actually do exactly what chavez did, more or less, but only for discard ! No ?

Hela isn't reliable. She often gets discarded and is useless, or you don't draw her. She's only good in certain situations. Proxima Midnight seems like a reliable discard for buffs to cards AND adding it back too
I have Hela and Proxima in the same deck. Why replace one with the other when they both have their uses? Plus discard is just a fun deck with leveling up Morbius and Apocalypse and other things. Hela isn't reliable but she's fun in the 1/10 she's drawn and not discarded early and actually works at least 😂
I think shes okay. Probably not worth 6k tokens, but she does make sense in discard dracula and ive been using her in zoo with strong man and hit monkey. It makes for some fun burst out of nowhere after you set up with black swan and discard her with gambit or blade
I personally don't understand why people liked the old Chavez so much when she felt useless to me. Not enough power or a special ability compared to other 6 cost cards, and one like Hulk works a lot better for just a basic 6 cost with power and no ability. At least now Chavez actually has a use, although I still have never used her lol. I guess that's just not my playstyle and I want specific cards lol

I think this would be fire!! Benefits Hell Cow, Gambit, Corvus Glaive, Sword Master & Moon Knight. It would not impact Lady Sif, Coleen Wing, Blade & Silver Samurai. Alternatively, just give this ability to Sword Master to make him relevant. What do you think?
I like proxima I been doing way more then 50% im using bynx deck witch is a turn 6 modoc and leach turn 5 its been awesome for me I think its going to sound crazy but Corvus glaive and proxima dont belong together! Corvus works great in hella so just play black cat instead of proxima, and you dont need Corvus in a midrange discard deck the extra power plus the randomness is unnecessary
Once again, like Corvus proved in ramp, I think everyone is trying to shoehorn the spotlight into strict discard. I’ve been having success in my ladder pocket with a moongirl proxima modok line…with Daken and killmonger ..but that’s the only discard the deck runs.
I actually have a hybrid build of Proxima that is a really solid midrange deck. No it's not going to beat Hela but I was running an 80%+ win rate with it

Proxima saw maybe three/four games worth of use and one was discarded, lmao. Can't even use BC cause Hela would die first.

I love discard but if you looking to seriously rank up it is not the deck unfortunately. Ever since I got black knight in that spotlight a while back it hard for me to play OG discard.
@@MyCab007 short of the 2 main decks currently, it's about as strong as the rest. Keeps up with destroy and plays well into most other matchups that don't involve Lockjaw bs. Besides, not everything needs to be "for serious ranking up." There is space for B tier decks.
I watched a good amount of her gameplay yesterday, it’s a pass for me, I’ll get her in her next spotlight. I don’t think I’ll miss anything til then. I’m all in in Pixie, and I’m due some bad luck. Pulled my last several spotlights with one or two keys.
Is Proxima a good card for Discard?Yes. Is she broken/busted and will she change the meta like Blob?No. This also means that she will not get nerfed. There is a chance she gets buffed to 4 8 for example like we saw with Hellcow. Cards like Proxima, are the ones you can safely invest resources(if you enjoy Discard), not fearing the card gets nerfed 1 2 patches/OTA later on.
Black cat is 2 points better in hela then proxima is for standard discard. Never thought of the day black cat is a solid card but it’s better then midnight in their own respective decks enough said

It still isn’t reliable which is pretty ironic but it’s the truth. I feel like you either get lucky and draw the cards needed on curve and then the deck feels awesome or u don’t draw them when you need it and then it starts to feel rlly bad.
Spent 4 spotlight caches to get her, and two weeks ago I had the same bad luck... Im just going to spend tokens on new cards for the next cards I want because I have no luck and caches take for fucking ever to get more.
i played her all night long and i can see her potential and she will be good in the future but right now in this meta she sucks. Proxima midnight and corvus are completely passable cards.. I use 2 accounts daily for snap and between the 2 accounts, I've only gotten proxima midnight on 1 and didn't get Corvus or either. I use hell cow for Corvus if need be, I almost never need that extra 1 energy, Id rather have 3 more power with hellcow

But then came Corvus Glaive. He and his buddy Electro teamed up to discard big bodacious cards. But soon after arrived Proxima Midnight. Once Corvus *discarded* her, he could never stop. Sometimes he would accidentally discard Hela and that would make Proxima angry. But Corvus was always sorry for that. He becomes too high on energy everytime he visits Kama-Taj with Electro. So he would be unable to differentiate between Hela and Proxima since they both have thorn-like helmets and both have *Discardable Features* . But Proxima loves him as much as he loves her. So she forgave his past mistakes. Corvus loves *discarding* Proxima and Proxima loves being discarded by Corvus. This power couple *discarded* all over marvel snap. They discarded on the faces of Thanos meta-slaves, making them cry like toddlers. They even *discarded* on famous snap content creators. They brought new life to the *Discard* genre. They *discarded* so hard that even Morbius said, "It's discardin' time." They became the new and true power couple of marvel. Everyone was in awe of their *discarding* capabilities.
Hela needs a card text change. She should only load up 1 location, or absorb the power of the discarded cards. But cheating out 30+power that can spread into any lane is a problem. How was Blob nerfed and this abomination is still a thing?
Because you just play Blob for a guaranteed 30 power in one lane, for Hela you need setup that also often risks discarding Hela herself and then you still have the RNG of the spawned cards. They are not comparable in the slightest. Hela is unchanged since forever and now people cry because the meta finally makes her not shit. Pathetic really.
@@deliro8758 are you serious?.. here are SOME ways to deal with blob, you can Shang it and cosmo it and shadow king it and Valkyrie it and you can leech it…. You can also give up that single lane and win the game. You can only really cosmo or leech Hela, which is way harder to do cause she can go anywhere and win any lane. I understand you need to “not discard her” but even if you do you can ghost rider her back. Or just blade 1 card with 14-20 power with almost 0 risk and have a 20-26 power play on 6 that can get in stormed lanes. She is a card that should NEVER be a top card in the meta, because she invalidates dozens of other decks when she is, and can’t really be teched against.
People act like the Hela/destory Meta is really bad but I can think of way worse metas. Blob thanos was worse, Marvel Lovkdown with Alioth was very boring, hell even Darkhawk metas are pretty stale when your playing against a lot of Darkhawk and Annihilus, Loki meta was a pain but at least it was fun. Hela/destory meta isn’t new and doesn’t feel bad to play against in my opinion because rng plays into Hela a lot. I’ve lost a lot of games because my big power cards all stack in 1 lane or just don’t go where I need them to go.

Because it enables combos. How anyone can play this game for more than an hour and not understand that is amazing to me.
I'm having a lot of success even vs Hela with a Double Daken deck that includes Ravonna/Corvus/Proxima. It's more of a Conquest deck though.
I been trying to get Proxima to fit in some crazy decks but this video just shows that regular discard is fun enough and even better with this in it
Snap has so many different crazy cards, it's such a shame that reliable decks are that much better and mostly everyone play the same ones !

The problem is the whole archetype in which proxima is played itself... it's not enough power or doesn't have a defence to combat such power...

You're as low on Prox as Cozy is high! For me, she feels like a slightly better Black Cat. Isn't going to define a deck. But it might help it.
I thinks she’s a better Wolverine for discard. Wolverine is basically a free 2/4 in discard and Midnight is a free 4/7.

How is supergiant not more relevant? Is it because it's one card out of 12 to stop people's turn five trick?
