Jesus, that Unburden felt like he just dropped his training weights and went full blitz on them.
Fun fact: a local 3v3 singles tournament had hitmonlee, gyrados, and darmanitan banned along with the usual Uber mons but those three were weird to me because they’re not like amazing Pokémon. I never dug into the why. Now I know
Gyrados typing, stats and move pool makes him a huge threat, and a scarfed flare blitz from darmanitan hurts almost everything

Alternatively you can use Tera Dark to power up Knock Off instead and not be effected by Prankster mons.
Its a nice meme counter against braindead offense, FEAR-style but I see three big issues, from least to most important:
1. Mach Punch is not that powerful even at +1, and with no way to further boosting, this set turns out to be a bit weak to revenge killers, specially if they're inmune/resistant against Fighting.
2. Status (specially burn or paralysis) completely shuts this set down, as does chip damage or, in general, more passive counterplay
3. Although Knock Off provides some utility, no pivot moves + unburden only working once can turn Lee into a momentum sink for his team
In conclussion, it can be surprising the first time, but then it becomes as predictable and easy to play around as your average randbats Shell Smash set

Upper Hand could technically be used as your counter to priority- throwing your opponent into a sort of 50/50, making revenge priority unsafe for them.
You could technically do Swords Dance and Focus Sash instead of the berry, but you’d be vulnerable to multihit moves.
Either way, gimmicky set, but given how rough this thing’s stats are, you kinda have to use it as a gimmick to get much mileage out of it.
upper hand is a good move to have instead of mach since your already outspeeding and can counter opossing priority

In gen 6, I ran a Hitmonlee on my Trick Room team.
He carried an Iron Ball, which halved his regular speed, making him sufficiently slow for Trick Room.
And he carried Fling, allowing him a 1 time base 120 power dark type attack, which is great for getting past ghosts and psychics that may want to wall him. But also both gets rid of the iron ball halving speed effect, and activates unburden.
If everything goes right, he flings his iron ball on the last turn of Trick Room, and proceeds to outspeed everything once Trick Room is down.
Was he amazing? No. He didn't have quite enough power. But he was a really fun gimmick that could sometimes work really well.
Man, you really gave that Gliscor a Choice Band, beat him with it, and then way later smacked outta his hands onto the ground.
And here i was stoked to grab Hitmonchan again.
Pls use dragon dance, loaded dice sceptile with scale shot and bullet seed!

Accidentally taught my hitmonlee Mach punch.(can’t learn Mach punch in movepool).
Hitmonchan with Mach’s punch gives tyrogue the egg move.
Keeping this move in evolution. When evolving to hitmonlee.
Nothing special but it can be something to try when others don’t see it coming.

Think a good counter to this is a Pokémon with Rocky Helmet or Rough Skin. Hitmonlee ends up knocking himself out.

You could also have paired unburden hitmonlee with grassy seed or psychic seed with rillaboom and indeedee, thta way it gets a defense boost and you dont even have to "waste" a turn with fake out
Use Hitmonchan drain punch iron fist swords dance and Agility call it WalmartCerul
Cauz both have a way to get + 2 Attack and Speed and they have a 90 BP Draining Move
