Listen, when it comes to a car, I would never get a luxury vehicle unless I can buy it x3 amd afford all the maintenance or it's for business use. As I've gotten older, I care more about the functionality of things than how people will perceive me. Great advice!
Great mindset! The functionality is real. I loved my Audi but like you said, the maintenance itself is wild. I couldn’t justify keeping it due to how little I drove it
Definitely wise words, I sere people spending money they don't have on stuff they don't need to impress people they don't like all the time. Get what you want because you want it and honestly enjoy it.

Smart man! I figured out 20+ years ago that having a car payment (unless it's a write-off) is financially ignorant. My investments will allow me to drive what I want, but I'm good. Will use my money to retire early and travel.

I recently purchased a model Y for business and personal needs and I don't regret it. I purchased a used model Y from Tesla to save money (because of EV depreciation) and it's been nothing but a great experience!
Make sure you get the warranty. That main battery replacement cost is wild
I have had my TESLA Model Y for about 2 years. I don't regret it at all! My insurance is less than $100 in Virginia and the fact that I don't have much maintenance is amazing (not even a tire rotation on the model that i have) You're going to love it! 😊

I too got rid of a newer car that just sat there. I actually preferred my older car over the newer car. My brother-in-law was in the market for a new car and I sold it to him….nothing more…nothing less. I just wanted it out of my name and not to have two car payments. Always telling my daughter to be mindful of her finances because it affects everything you do in life.
Corey, i just went through this same exact thing 1 month ago. I had a 22 Acura MDX that i purchased in 2021 Brand New, I hit the 3 year mark in May. The truck was really nice and all, red interior but i still owed $37k from $60k when I first brought it. Long story short, I was afraid of what people would think or if they would start questioned my financial stands or assume things that just wasn't the true. I called around to a few Acura dealerships, found one that made me offer, I sold it to them, Yes it was hard but now my credit credit report is showing Acura Financial Services Closed/Paid.... I didn't realize besides the car payments how much additional cost owing a car has. Glad i let that burden go. I do miss it tho.

I’ve been looking at a Tesla to model x the Porsche and things look good but you’re it’s not worth it if it’s just status

I loved that car too, but I love a lot of cars, personally I would love an old vintage car, or a beautiful muscle car. I think a Tesla is just wrong, I don’t think electric car are the way to go, a big con on so many levels, I don’t believe they are saving the environment that is for sure. The term “expensive” is subjective. The amount of money in maintenance, insurance and monthly payments on my Audi are substantially higher than what I would pay on a Tesla. So after doing the calculations I would be spending less owning a Tesla if I were to get one

Also depending on the government.
But I found away of earning more income despite my Retirement. $57k weekly returns has been life changing, after so much struggles.
