What a perfect way to be alone and yet feel surrounded by others. This one is an introvert's dream! I shall play this on the big screen while I write. It's very inspiring! Thank You!
I've been listening to this to put me to sleep and I've got a great scenario that I love to imagine. "I've come to this tavern/inn to rest from my travels and the chilly spring rain. The entire main room smells of pine, leather, fire smoke and freshly baked bread. It's warm and comforting the moment you walk through the door. My room is just beside the staircase so the muffled chatter and the clinking of glasses still filters up to my ears. Someone brings me up a beef stew with potatoes and half a loaf of that same bread I could smell baking downstairs; it's heavy and hearty and fills my stomach and warms my core. The fire lit in my room begins to lull me to sleep, the bed creaking and the blankets are hefty wool and a little bit scratchy. " Works every time. Zzzzzz
I can't praise this excellent production enough. You're doing a real service here. Many of us are stressed and anxious. This type of harmless immersive escapism is wonderful treatment.
Carl Hitchins you're right. This kind of videos helps a lot. I don't know what's your problem, if your insomnia is a physical problem or just psychological one. But, talking in general, major of them are just physiological. I suffer sometimes of that. Like, if I just got to bed at 6 of the morning I would be thinking that it was late as fuck, and then I would get my biorhythm screw up. But, the moment I start care less about that thoughts, if I just go to bed at that time I rarely have those issues. Or it can also be bcz someone have something important do to in the next day and then get all stressed out.
There are so many terrible "ambient" videos on TH-cam... and this is NOT one of them! This couldn't be more perfect, especially for D&D. Fantastic! Thank you!
I like this version a lot more than other "medieval tavern" or "medieval inn" soundscapes I've heard. This one feels like I'm not down among the crowd but maybe upstairs, so I can hear everything but I don't have to be a part of it if I don't want to. It's so calming to imagine myself in that kind of arrangement.
One of my favorite things about the Elder Scroll games was the fact that you could go in a place like this and just relax from all the bloodshed outside. That you didn't have to fight all of the time.
I'm a law student and this is absolutely perfect to study to. It drowns out the noise of my house and makes me feel like I'm tucked back in a cozy corner, just reading the day away
As a law student studying for finals right now, it gives me hope to see this comment from 2 years ago. Reminds me that this stress is temporary, and that time moves on. I assume you're a practicing lawyer now, and I can't wait to join you in 2 more years.
Mmm cozy. A nice secluded table at the back of the tavern, late at night so one can relax as a spectre in the back of the room. A good meal, good drink and a gentle fireplace. So good for relaxing after a hard day.
I love your content because there's always plenty of variation before it loops. It doesn't have the kinda thing where someone laughs or something, then less than a minute later, the same laugh. With your stuff it's ambiguous enough where if there is a laugh, it's not noticeable enough to feel repetitive.
That is why I don't like to fall asleep watching these, because I don't want to miss anything. I watch them while I am awake. In fact, I watch them the same way I would watch a movie, not just as *background* ambience.
I love playing this along with cafe music ambience videos; they never add in these types of sounds - just the music, and this makes it so much better! It's like a complete experience.
I'm old and wizened. I have been trodding these roads most of my life, selling trinkets to those better off than myself. My feet ache beneath these broken boots and the rags I've wrapped them in. But, ah, it's good to warm these bones near the fire. A mug of warmed spiced ale in my torn gloves. I sigh, and relax deep against the wall behind me.
Ahh what a nice evening here in 1350's England. Long live his highness King Edward III. Had a nice day here in the village, went to the blacksmiths to get my claymore repaired, then I stopped off at the bakers for a loaf of bread. Enjoyed the jousting tournament this afternoon, my favorite knight almost won today, but didn't quite win against Sir Joustalot. Still there's always the next tournament. Well now I'm having a nice quiet evening at the village tavern and having a nice ale in front of the fire. It's a pleasant rainy evening, and tomorrow I'm going hunting with the lads!
Aside from the “bedtime stories” I listen to, this ambience is the best one I’ve heard! It is my absolute favorite! I listen to it all the time when I need to bring my mind somewhere to relax. This perfect place always brings me back to a steady and healthy mental state! Thank you for creating this ambience with high quality sounds perfectly layered into a peaceful place we can go visit anytime☺️🙏🏼
My parents had a restaurant when I was little. They both worked full time so I slept there a lot (until we’d go home at 1 or 2 am) so this is SO comforting to me.
Thank you for this ambiance. This is like being in a crowded room without any social pressure, it's perfect background noise to help me write. Don't know why this gets the creative juices flowing, but it does and I'm grateful. Keep it up!
I wish there was a place like this that people could visit for a while. A kind of immersive experience where you feel like you're living in the past. It'd make a fortune and would make people feel more human somehow.
All my local pubs are now merging into posh places where they serve expensive cocktails and cost at least £5 for a pint. Forget going in with work gear on either 😬. I take the bus to other cosier, cheaper places instead 🤣
@@mutoidliz2320 American here. We don't have pubs. We have TGIFs.I know a lot of pubs in other countries are owned by major breweries and some of them are fake pub atmosphere, but at least y'all have them. I'd kill for a friendly local with Guinness on tap and great meals. I spent time as a young kid in Europe and it's just not the same thing here. There's no sense of community, just common eating/ drinking places. Sure, you might have your local bar, or bar/restaurant, but it's a theme park atmosphere that always manages to feel hyped up like some event you need a ticket for, or just grimy and seedy. Not the calm, relaxed but lively local feeling of your local pub. It will never be the same thing. They even try to manufacture them over here. Feels touristy. Feels touristy because it is touristy. Have half a lager for me, will you?
I don’t want to go to one, drive there, drive back. Risk dui. Lol, a virtual tavern chat room would be cool. Mix my own potion and quaff it in silence or whatever.
This is AMAZING for studying. I have ADD, and the sound of people talking is usually SUPER distracting for me, but the people in this video are just muffled enough that I can stay focused! THANK YOU!!!!
I've been falling asleep to this video for the past month or so. I don't know what it is about it, but I just love how calming it is. Makes me want to actually go to a tavern like this lol.
Thank you so much for this. I suffer from insomnia, depression, anxiety and loneliness. This helps me calm down and feel like there are people around me.
Just found a quiet room in my local coffee shop to study, and of course a loud group walks in just after me, lol. The ambient noise in this recording is crackly enough that it intercepts nearby conversations and I can focus. A+++ production, I so appreciate the creators putting it out there.
By far my favorite. I don't know what it is - the combination of the consistent unintelligible voices, fireplace crackles, clanging silverware and mugs, and the footsteps brings me an immense sense of calm, ease, and security. Maybe it has to do with the fact that when I hear non-hostile voices, I feel safe and less anxious, and therefore helps me concentrate on my work (except when I take a break to post a comment like this). Thanks for this wonderful video. It truly is life changing for me.
This is my comfort video. I watch this almost every night before bed and I always fall asleep in minutes. Thank you for creating such a lovely ambience!! ❤❤❤
All I want in life is to live in a village, cutting wood at the mill every day and exchanging legends and myths with my kin every night. Is that too much to ask?
yes..well not the wood-cutting part (seeing as I am a waman) but maybe work in this freagin inn, would not be such a bad idea...yes..why did civilization progress only to become more uncivilized than ever before?
Hi, Laura. We have actually become more civilized, not less. I know it might not seem like it, but historically we are living in the best times as far as human conduct goes.
These soundscapes and relaxing visuals have very nearly LITERALLY been a lifesaver for me in recent months. Being alone, isolated from public spaces - or at least isolated from public spaces WITHOUT a creeping dread of disease. I especially love this one. The warm crackling of fire, the soft clinking of dishes, muffled voices in friendly conversation...it really can fool my subconscious into feeling less alone. It also somehow makes my small space feel larger, less claustrophobic. Thank you Guild of Ambience!
i have concentration issues because of my adhd. videos like these as background noise help me to concentrate. this is by far my favorite one because it makes me feel as if i am in a public place but without the distraction of voices i can distinguish or the concern of an interruption. thank you very much.
Thank you for making these! I just discovered them and I love playing them on the big living room tv while I read! I like how there's different sounds throughout and it's not just a repeat, also I like the small animated touches like candles, sunlight, snow, etc. Very nicely done!
Really? I don't think there'd be all these ambient indistinct vox sounds with no NPCs present. These look to me like uniquely rendered 3D environments, maybe made with a mod. Who knows.
All the graphics are designed and made by hand and all the audio is compiled by the owner of this channel. He/she has commented that it is all their own work on other videos. Very impressive!
I would like to live in a medieval hotel like this with all the people I love. Everyone would have their own room and it would be protected like a castle. It's peaceful.
Thank you very much indeed! I play this all the time when I'm at home or university. I use it for reading, dinner with friends, relaxing, and studying. Essentially, it is always on for whatever reason.
I am in 10th class and tomorrow is my exam , in my home there is a lot of noise, so I just search for peaceful studying music , 🎶 and I reached here . Thanks a lot whoever you are 😊. Thank you again 💗. I have played this for alot of time when I study . There will be a great role of yours in my 10th board result.❣️❣️❣️❣️
After paying the required 6 gold coins, Treygard sat with a foaming tankard of Shire ale and some smoked meat, cheese and bread in front of him. The rain on the window above his head drummed a shallow tattoo upon the window, but that was fine. Treygard was comfortable and warm within the walls of The Stone Cross. After rummaging into his pack, he pulled out a worn, yet lovingly cared for leather bound book, some ink and a quill and proceeded to write another chapter about his travels. The conversation amongst the other guests of the tavern were lost upon him. His book and his travels were the only things important to him.
I don’t know what it is but the combination of sounds and the moving candles gives me such nostalgia. I imagine myself just cozying up next to the fire and reading a good book while chatting with some regulars. The sounds of people in the background is so soothing. Great work.
This helping me with my insomnia. I've got trouble to fall asleep and stay asleep but this ambience helping me so much to fall asleep so much faster than other ambience videos. Thank you so much for uploading it ❤❤
While lying down to rest, I put this on to keep my cat safe and cosy from the fireworks outside. I don't know about him, but it sent me into a long, deep sleep! P.S. Well, a few steps out of bed found the cat as confident as ever and nagging me for food. A+ audio.
oh my, this is exactly what I needed for my Dungeons&Dragons quest. Thank you so much, it's wonderfull for my players to have an ambiance like this. I use your work on every quest I do, from writting to playing, and it's amazing.
this is so good, I'm currently translating a book, so I just put this on and imagined I was at a quiet tavern working and it kept me focused for hours! thanks
I put this on and then in new tab I put cat purring ....and I am literally in heaven! I listen to this whole day at work...just love it how you did this!
I write a fantasy series and this is perfect for one of the settings. After the company travels through a mountain range, braving a blizzard, they find a run-down inn at a cozy little town. Even though they're running from the law, it's such an out-of--the-way place that they are able to relax a little. Great video, will come again :)
I want to open a tavern like this. People would have to rely on each other more for entertainment. It would be a big change from the modern bars that are filled with TVs
Just wonderful for my writing times. These keep me focused and settled while I attempt to create. I enjoy all of the videos I have used so far. Keep up the good work, and thank you.
"Well hello there traveler! Fancy meeting another human ere'! Now don't take that seriously lad, haha, I myself am a dwarf and in charge of the Golden spider. We Get many folk 'ere and they just come and go, ya know, they are of all different kinds! Feel free to sit over there by the fire and read some of our books, or ye can join the rest upstairs for some socializing! Don't be in a hurry, 'tis a brutal wind out now. Stay awhile, and lemme know if Ye need anything!" ~ Dwarven InnKeeper
My feet are tired, eyelids a bit weary. But I feel both rested and refreshed by entering this cozy tavern. Before I arrived I wanted nothing more than a bed to sleep but now that I'm here, perhaps I'll enjoy this blissful hour. The table I'm seated at is worn and smooth. I wonder how many people have passed their time in this very seat, and how many drinks must have spilled to render this crudely shaped table into such a marvel of splinterless wood. I run my hands across the grooves and take a deep breath with my eyes closed. I allow the dimly busy sounds of this inn to quiet my mind. There's nothing to worry about now that I'm here. Conveniently I'm adjacent to the fire. No doubt this table would be coveted during these winter months, but I'd wager, even without inspecting the inn, that the warmth of this hearth must permeate every corner. Otherwise I wouldnt hear the unmistakable hum of such delighted patrons. Though I cant make out their voices, the low chorus of sounds is simply resplendent. The feint whistle of kindling flushes me with relief as I scoot in my chair. I break out my traveling bag, wet with rain, and procure my notebook of sketches. It's dry and wanting use. From my jacket I slip out my brush pen and begin to draw. I havent felt this relaxed in ages.
Whoever makes these videos is a pure genius. taking care of every tiny detail. I loved all of the collection from The Guild of Ambience. I am sure this guy can write perfect stories and has a lot of stories to share as well.
I'm going to take a turn at setting the scene. I've only just arrived in this village's tavern not two hours ago. I paid an extra silver for an upstairs room with a window facing the town square below, as I've always felt more comfort in being able to see the city streets in the early morning. The common room smells of fine, salted meats wafted together with the smoke from friendly traveler's pipes, and a sharp perfume of aged cheese is drifting from the cellar door to my right. As of now, I'm leaning back into a lovely leather armchair, my boots propped up on a table in front of me, steaming from the trek earlier today. I've got a good book, a pint of ale, and my pipe is filled with the best tabac from this side of the river. The people here are kind and lively, eager to share their tall tales. Luckily, my pen and paper are ready to jot down any stories I seem fit for re-telling, but for now, I'd rather let back and relax after a long day's journey. If you've got any tales of your travels, please, don't be shy to tell...
Sometimes an artist, sometimes a fighter, but this time I shall put my pencils and greatsword away and have one drink for the fallen and one drink for those who still try.
I pray there's a warm, cozy room available for me. I've been traveling long this day, and I'm so weary... What a charming little inn I've discovered tonight! I know I will sleep well.
I absolutely love listening to this whenever I need to do my homework or study, it's not so quiet and not so noisy, it's a perfect in-between! Fantastic, I'm glad this exists :DD Edit: I also really love DnD and fastasy, so I'm so happy this was made ^u^
Magic! I feel as if I've time- traveled and am in the back room of a tavern, building up the courage to go into the front room to mix with the medieval locals.
I love these, great for writing, sitting on the sofa and reading and much more. in other people's videos of this kind the loops are too short or there is too little variation, but you do it so well, and I love the little details like 6:33, they don't disturb you or wake you back up when you are switching off, but when you listen, you notice them, it is perfect. Or the flame of the candle moving from time to time.
The only thing that would make this absolutely perfect, would be to hear the faintest sounds of some traditional Irish or Scottish music, in the background. Give me a hot bowl of Beef Stew, with a fresh loaf of bread, and a nice pint of your best ale, as we gather around the warmth of the fire, and friends both old and new join in the singing of our favorite songs!
Could do with an 8 hour version of this. This would be perfect for put on at night when going to bed and just drift to sleep - would be nice to keep hearing it too if I wake up in the night to turn over, drift back to sleep hearing this aha. Would be soothing :D
my first experience entering tavern in D&D game *roll 1* you didn't know but you accidentally shove someone and he fell to someone else table, tavern brawl ensue. *roll 20* ironically nobody know who spark the brawl, you sit on the corner of the tavern enjoying your meal and the sight of the brawl together with laughter and good ale. ayyyyy

As someone who struggles to fall asleep I want to say thank you for making these videos - especially this one. This one has been my go to when I want to relax or when I'm awake in the dead of the night trying to sleep - this always puts me at ease. Thank you.
I sit by the fire, warming my frozen fingers above the heat of the flames. After a while I rise, permitting my stiffened joints a stretch, before settling down at a nearby wooden table. I take out an inkpot and a sheaf of papers and begin to write. The bartender comes over, asking if I want anything - to which I respond, "The cheapest thing you have on the menu, if you please, sir." Some nearby fellow leans over, his breath smelling of pale ale, and looks over my shoulder. "A writer, we've got here?" Waggling his (rather bushy, I note) brows, he goes, "No funds, eh?" I don't endeavor to dignify him with a reply of any sorts, and only quips, dryly, "Just sheltering from the winter storm, good sir, before I go on with my travels. Not looking for any trouble, so if you could please leave me alone ..." The guy looks disinterested, already, and gives me the briefest of a shrug, then a snort, before turning back to his friends and the joviality. I pull my cloak tighter around me, and as the food arrives (a pint of watery ale, and some charred bits one might interpret as dog meat, if they're lucky enough, perhaps?) I go back to my writing, the tavern's liveliness fading into mere background noise, as I begin to document anew the past couple of days that had lead to my coming here - to Northpoint.
I love all of your videos. They really help me fall asleep!!! The style is different and I like that. I really love how your videos are dark that way I can have it set on full screen when I fall asleep and everything's still dark in my room!
Thank you so much for this. Sad as it sounds, I need to play ambient noises of people talking so as to not feel so lonesome. I love that the voices here are muffled enough that I can still focus on what I’m doing.

it really is, especially when writing for a scene such as this. :)

Spot on friend. Nothing is better than this (and similar tracks) for reading/learning while alone, yet feeling as though you are around others.

But with the costumes
This is AMAZING for studying. I have ADD, and the sound of people talking is usually SUPER distracting for me, but the people in this video are just muffled enough that I can stay focused! THANK YOU!!!!
After all these years this is still one of my top 5 favorites.
I've been falling asleep to this video for the past month or so. I don't know what it is about it, but I just love how calming it is. Makes me want to actually go to a tavern like this lol.
I like taverns. The ambience is beautiful. I drink soda, though, nothing alcoholic.
Thank you so much for this. I suffer from insomnia, depression, anxiety and loneliness. This helps me calm down and feel like there are people around me.
I'm here with you in spirit. I suffer with most of those things too! Hugs 🫂 🤗 to you! Xx
@Strong by Lee I love taverns, the layout & architecture remind me of Hufflepuff House.
Andrew D
and frolic with the wenches!
yes..well not the wood-cutting part (seeing as I am a waman) but maybe work in this freagin inn, would not be such a bad idea...yes..why did civilization progress only to become more uncivilized than ever before?
... and Wi-Fi.
Move to West Virginia.
Thank you Guild of Ambience!
this make me feel so warm and comfortable
i have concentration issues because of my adhd. videos like these as background noise help me to concentrate. this is by far my favorite one because it makes me feel as if i am in a public place but without the distraction of voices i can distinguish or the concern of an interruption. thank you very much.
^_^ Everyone here is talking about DnD, but this is golden.
Thank you for making these! I just discovered them and I love playing them on the big living room tv while I read! I like how there's different sounds throughout and it's not just a repeat, also I like the small animated touches like candles, sunlight, snow, etc. Very nicely done!
I'm pretty sure these are from a video game, i think he just went to the tavern ingame and just stood in the corner
Really? I don't think there'd be all these ambient indistinct vox sounds with no NPCs present. These look to me like uniquely rendered 3D environments, maybe made with a mod. Who knows.
They're made by the uploader and rendered. Not just a game capture :)
I thought it was a mod to make npcs invisible or somthing, if it's user made it's even more impressive. Great work
All the graphics are designed and made by hand and all the audio is compiled by the owner of this channel.
Amazing work. Apparently, I have adult ADHD (diagnosed late) and this helps me concentrate with my noise-canceling headphones. Thank you.
Great work.
Wow so beautiful. Thank you. God bless you for uploading this. Theres still simple beauty in this modern world.
I'd recommend playing this on a loop with "A Winter's Tale (Skyrim Tavern Edit)" for an even better experience.
holy fuck man, best comment ever, the 2 songs, they fits so fucking goooood
This is lovely, thank you!
Give this man a goddamn medal.
Shit that sounds good!
Thalos bless you!
It comes in PINTS!?!?
0_o But you've already HAD half a pint!!
I'm getting one.

Lord of the Rings - Awesome characters 👍
Whoever you are thank you for making these. The relaxing noice helps calm me down and get my anxiety problem under control.
this is so good, I'm currently translating a book, so I just put this on and imagined I was at a quiet tavern working and it kept me focused for hours! thanks
This is GREAT for writing!!! I'm a fantasy writer and this really comes in handy when writing the scenes that take place in medieval taverns.
Oooh, what's it called? I'll look it up!
I want to open a tavern like this. People would have to rely on each other more for entertainment. It would be a big change from the modern bars that are filled with TVs
Definitely with you on that, I would love this type of environment! Sick of looking at 40 TVs in one room.. lol
M A K E O N E I N C A L I F O R N I A.
Wouldn't work. People would pull out their phones instead.
Can you make it grimy, with multiple dogs and cats, and strong scent of roasting chicken and potatoes with rosemary? Then I'll certainly visit.
@@EndlessSummer888 We could make an smartphone free tavern. You'd have to leave your smartphone or tablet in a locker before entering.
Just wonderful for my writing times. These keep me focused and settled while I attempt to create. I enjoy all of the videos I have used so far. Keep up the good work, and thank you.
One of my favourites! Masterfully done.
This is my favorite ambient piece to write to. Thank you so much for producing this.
I can practically smell the food and taste the ale!
There's talk of strange folks abroad!

Karl XII Can't be too careful...

We Get many folk 'ere and they just come and go, ya know, they are of all different kinds! scarlet night huh? What's Dnd?
Dungeons and Dragons.
Best pub I've ever visited in my life and I've been in many.
Wonderful. Just what I was looking for. No irritating music. Top marks, GOA.
There is nothing like good ambience! Happy writing, my fellow scholars!
These are fantastic and I love the ambiance. I play these after a long overnight and I need soft ambient sounds to go to bed to. Thanks again.
Yo you should do one with an Old Western Saloon. Like a Red Dead saloon
Bard? Or Sage? Welcome, either way.
Sound of people but not too loud, sound of fireplace but not too crackling, this is just perfect. Thanks.
This is way Better than my therapy session 🍵
Pippin: What's that?
Merry: This, my friend, is a pint.
Pippin: It comes in pints?
dramatic pause
Pippin: I'm getting one.
You’ve had a whole half, already!
I can’t tell you how much I loved pippin and Merry’s character dynamic, a number does not exist that could quantify how much! 🥰
Got chills from the beginning.
I write my novel to these videos. They are AMAZING! Thanks so much for setting the mood!
wtf... I just press "E" and still can't grab that coin purse!
Didn't mean to steal that sweet roll!
HALT CITIZEN YOU HAVE COMMITED CRIMES AGAINST SKYRIM AND HER PEOPLE! WHAT SAY YOU IN YOUR DEFENSE?

This is perfect for studying, working or just setting a medieval mood. Thanks ❤keep up the great work!
The coziest of vibes - how I wish this was real!
I absolutely love listening to this whenever I need to do my homework or study, it's not so quiet and not so noisy, it's a perfect in-between! Fantastic, I'm glad this exists :DD
Edit: I also really love DnD and fastasy, so I'm so happy this was made ^u^

Magic! I feel as if I've time- traveled and am in the back room of a tavern, building up the courage to go into the front room to mix with the medieval locals.
I'm just a traveler, hearing all the crazy adventure this mate had in the comment section.
Eat or drink something pumpkiny while listening to this..... it just transports you there instantly!
this sound listen to sleep time very much!
(I'm a Japanese.
This is ice to sleep to, yes. ^_^ Hello!
Legend
You can put this video on repeat in the settings:) so you can let it play all night until you wake up
I have been listening to this for literally 7 years, my favorite ambience on TH-cam
my first experience entering tavern in D&D game

you didn't know but you accidentally shove someone and he fell to someone else table, tavern brawl ensue.

ironically nobody know who spark the brawl, you sit on the corner of the tavern enjoying your meal and the sight of the brawl together with laughter and good ale.

my proudest Memory while playing with my friends
I really enjoy sleeping to these but also my DnD group loves these as a background ambiance, so thank you!
Wish I had a DnD group, always thought that would be fun and this would make awesome ambience for it.
There's always Fantasy Grounds for those from isolated/non-RPGish communities ;)
HyrnGaming same!
Thank you so much for this. Sad as it sounds, I need to play ambient noises of people talking so as to not feel so lonesome. I love that the voices here are muffled enough that I can still focus on what I’m doing.
I like how it begins.
i've been waiting 10 thousand years for this!!!
