You are the best in the world, thanks to you I was able to solve a problem I had with a measure that did not work and now I do not miss a single one of your videos.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Thanks 😊!
Excellent introduction to Window functions!
Thanks!
This came just in time for a new activity scoreboard project. Looking forward to checking it out in a bit!
More to come on the topic very soon :)
Thanks for bringing us the news!
Bra förklaringar Ruth. God fortsättning. Jag har testat alla tre huvudfunktionerna.
Samma Thomas!
Tror samma :)
Thank you so much!!
Could be useful in several situations. Thanks.
Indeed! We will explore further in upcoming videos :)
great as usual
Woow! Thanks 🙌
Very good!
Thank you so much for the video, but I noticed that when you changed the starting position to 1, the personnel and sales values also changed.
I thought changing the starting position should not affect the personnel and the sales values
Hi, sorting column affect results?
I am still learning this functions, but my guess is yes. Will see once I deep dive on it :)
Thanks a lot. Looking forward the details video
Continue with them next week :)
Thank you verry verry much !!!!!!

I see a lot of the Dax Friday PBIX files (in the download centre) are not available....this one being one of them
Awesome ❤
Is there any way to get only the previous or following record on a table? Not a measure, not a calculated value just bring the row value?
in the function part order by can't use measure or virtual table column?
Will do a deep dive on window soon
Nice video as usual. However, when we use the value 2 to start from , how does DAX understand whether it should exclude the highest value or the lowest value from salary column for developers
Yeah, I am also confused by this functionality.
The parameter ABS sets the order for DAX, we will explore this in detail on the WiNDOW video coming up

hi, a noobe, hust gone through almost all video at a glance, i have a query regard to power bi , importing csv files(large ones) and working on sample file, ;like, 1) converting it to pivot, so that all other files should join in pivot only and then , 2) i need to get two section say one is sales and one is purchase and 3) both should give me five top and five bottom ...how I should go about it..if any other solution , i will appreciate.
The power bi community is the perfect place for that type of support. Try it!
Ma'amm, I'm Unable to calculate moving/running average using
Average Cost moving =
AVERAGEX(
WINDOW(
1,ABS,
0,REL,
SUMMARIZE(ALLSELECTED('Custom Calendar Table'), 'Custom Calendar Table'[FY], 'Custom Calendar Table'[Month Name]),
ORDERBY('Custom Calendar Table'[FY], ASC, 'Custom Calendar Table'[Month Name], ASC)),
[Actual Cost]
)
Results is
Average Cost moving Actual Cost Month Name FY
220599.2747 220599.2747 Dec FY 22-23
219440.6214 219440.6214 Jan FY 22-23
216470.4219 216470.4219 Feb FY 22-23
