I think i did almost everything that is possible so far. Few interesting things i found out are: 1) The only really hard enemy is the Hunter (Big red skeleton with riffle) he shoots 5 fast bullets in wide arc and that hits for around 350 dmg. 2) so far the Draugr are the best skill, creazy dmg if upgraded correctly (easy 500-600 dmg per hit with like 4-6 summoned at once), ice spikes and wolves are very decent as well. 3) The fool's hat tooltip is bugged in reality it gives flat +20 to pick up radius which makes that there is no need to lvl up pick up radius any further. 4) Being tanky actually works here, usually in games like this you have to realy on move speed and avoiding being hit.
Nice tip on the hat I'm definitely going to swap it out. What is weird is that it shows as negative to pickup % and positive to area % on the item, but on the character screen swaps it and still apparently misrepresents the increase as only a percentage increase; which if true would have only been 1 more pickup radius and completely worthless. Yea the only way I can fail a run is because of those hunters and usually only when it spawns 2 at the same time while inside a bone cage/barrier. It is just a difficult scenario it must be equivalent to rolling a critical fail on a check, while there have been many times I pass a #5:00 mark and no elites or barrier spawns - which must be equivalent to a successful RNG roll (avoiding an ambush).
So far the ice spikes + drauger is actually strongest combo by far IMO. You really didn't see the full power of the drauger because you have to choose the +1 upgrades (you only got 1, and passed on it) but you can have like 6-8 drauger up and the ice spikes... The reason the summons are good is because they block the other mobs from touching you so you can hang out in the middle of the pack and they will keep you from getting hit by the melee mobs, and even take hits from projectiles. I unlocked the black hole by using the knight bc he has the highest HP, and just investing in a lot of block (also equip block and defense items). I was worried it'd be bugged but no it actually unlocked (I died about 20 seconds after the 15 minute marker.
I just unlocked mine after multiple attempts. My issue wasn't surviving without healing as I stood still for 15+ minutes it was that you had to either die or win the run without healing in the past 15 minutes for it to count. I would go 20 minutes without healing but than heal and win the run and it wouldn't give it to me. So this final attempt I just made sur to survive 15 minutes than sat back and waited for my character to die.
fyi the attributes listed on items are wrong, i have a helmet that should reduce pickupradius by 5%, instead if gives a flat 20 bonus which is insanly much and covers nearly entire screen. Also i never know whats a buff and whats a nerf in this game. There is "-15% attack frequency" on fire rings, there is the -10% attack cooldown on the draugr update. Fire meteor has a "-15% cooldown" but also "+25%dmg +10% cooldown" Are these good or bad? Also what is 2,5 affected area size and why is it not in radius+ Ring of fire is underrated, the additional ring upgrade is the biggest single buff you can pick in a card and in the end you can get screenwide clear with that thing. If you ever play the ring of fire with many additional rings please name the build "the cerankochfeld"
While I don't think it could ever beat poison or ice, there are redeeming qualities to the wall of fire -- just avoid any increase of circle size becasue it gets unwieldy. I'm waiting to see a full run with both ice or poison and firewall.
If the Ice Spikes kill enemies before they can ever reach the Skulls or Draugr, the Icespike damage will be off the charts - and every other weapon will be low. So it is quite possible the other weapons are good - they just never get any enemies to kill.
Hi, Cub Have you played bullet haven survivor game "Army of Ruin?" It's absolutely excellent. I'm addicted on ps5. I'd enjoy seeing your take on it. It's rated five stars on 350 PS reviews
I was a bit unlucky with this charakter, It was great until it spawned the rifle boss in one game and then as a duo in the second game and I couldn't deal damage to them, at least not enough. Everything else was a cake walk.
Yea the game becomes much easier when you realize you only need to focus on gaining high effective health and just let the skills do the damage; which is why the archer is statistically the worst character to run with in my opinion. Also, you avioding to grab some radius pickup is hurting you in both short term and long term. It is less about leaving experience to be gathered later than it is about snow balling more damage to kill more things in order to gain more experience than you otherwise would be. It only takes 3 or 4 levels to make up a huge difference here with a 17 or 20 radius. For this a specific example, I just run a similar game as you with hammer character while pushing tanky upgrades except for grabbing those 4 early radius level ups (20 radius) between skill level ups. At the 20 minute remaining mark the Spider Princess spawns and you were only level 25 while I was at 32; 7 level difference, or +3 if we consider 4 'wasted' levels to pickup. At the 10 minute remaining mark the Ancient Vampire spawned with you at level 45 - I was at 56; an 11 level difference(+7). At the 0 time remaining mark with the Grim Raven spawned you were level 61 - while I was level 76. 15 level difference(+11). Also because I gained 21 levels after getting my 3rd skill I was able to cap all 3 of my skills to their max 10 upgrades each while still avoiding the bad pick offerings - you barely finished the ice spike during the final boss fight and you were picking what seemed like any skill offering you could instead of holding off for the better choices. And finally, you killed him at -38 timer while it only took me to -18 with a draugr army (38 is still very fast because ice spike obliterates him too) Last thing I want to point out is with abilities like Skulls that rotate in a counter clockwise around you, you want to run in the opposite rotation (clockwise in this case) when circling a boss in order to increase the frequency of hits they take from the skulls. A perfect example is in this video while fighting the Spider you started off running clockwise around her where you can see the fast ticking damage floaters at the skulls quickly rush to meet her but than switched direction for the rest of the fight and frequency slows dramatically as the skulls are running to catch up to her(rather the point in which you are circling).
Forgot to mention the important stat regarding the reason for gaining more experience and snow balling. My final total kills and time were 6812 kills at 32min 16sec compared to this runs 5713 kills at 34min 52sec. This is important to the point that more enemies died because I was consistently at a higher level and able to kill them faster. I also ran the dungeons for this comparison but I have been skipping them since finish the gear and skills. So that near 3minute difference to finish the run was the time spent running the three dungeons and how much long it took to kill the final boss.
seems like the games got a ton of potential, but the balance and level scaling is completely off, needs way more cooking. There doesn't seem to be much build diversity either.
Because you noticed that blackhole skill i had to try and unlock it and so i did. im sorry to say its power is truly bad as in very very very bad and because the holes is dropped on top of you it can in fact end up killing you if your speed is too low

Any plans to farm to unlock those skills? 😶🌫
It seems that when you enter a portal all the experience outside just banishes

it's hunter and i think you can get shotgun by him too because he shoot like 7-8 projectile per shot....

So you're telling me that the last unlocked man was the survivor?
Remind me Hall of tourments!
Cannot wait for the release man, im hyped
Why you tunning away from exp??
Can you do a run to unlock the Black Hole skill? 15mins no heal is a great challenge
The skulls are interesting, +2 skulls -20% damage, and the damage upgrade levels are +25%
I feel you can get this to be quite strong.
Yes it is strong when you balance out the 2 upgrades you can get 10 or how ever many skulls each doing 70+ damage
This will be an instant purchase for me.
