Just got my first Livescope build - all HD products used for it and man am i glad to see all the raving reviews of HD products. Makes me feel good about my purchase. AND just got the HD shuttle bag for a Xmas gift! Great video Jay!
Glad Jason is getting the recognition he deserves! Just picked up my HD Innovations shuttle, bag, pole and LVS 34 cover. Absolutely love it, especially coming from the standard Garmin shuttle. Keep up the awesome work Jay and Jason!
Great video Jay. Very well done. You know your equipment and how to explain it in an easy to follow manner. Also love your love of fishing and competing with your buddies throughout the year
Nice to watch this during the holiday season! You neglected to mention price for this set-up. I’m old school, I remember the days when I guided… you had to study hydrographic maps etc. This almost takes the fun out of fishing… That’s why it’s called fishing and not catching! On the other side, I appreciate the video most definitely! A Happy Holiday season for you and your family Jay! I love the videos, keep them coming! All the best for 2025, greetings from a Canadian in Germany!🍻
I can't imagine doing old school research like that, I'm so impatient lol. Things are so fast now - digital maps, livescope and even some of build your own maps built into finders these days, it makes getting into fish so much faster... although I'm not really living proof of that lol
Awesome video Jay! I just started with live scope this season with all of the HD products, including the shuttle, bag, pole, and transducer cover. They are all absolutely incredible products, I hope many people will try them. The HD pole is incredible. It's very light and comes with all of the hardware you need for any of the transducer. Jason has such nice videos for set up on all of his products, that is super helpful. I had not thought about adding an aqua view camera, maybe I will switch head units next season and try that! Livescope has really helped us tremendously. Additionally, we love being able to look at the layout of the lake, as we are heading to structure and choosing our spot to fish. Extremely helpful! We are located in Colorado and we fish for all sorts of trout, salmon, and northern Pike. Such a privilege to be able to spend time with friends and family, we love ice fishing so much!
I'm thinking about that aquavu too! It'd be nice to not carry around this gigantic setup! That HD shuttle even has room for a second battery so I could power it separately!
Your tips are absolutely fantastic and so practical! I’ve always struggled with carp fishing in winter, but your advice on choosing the right bait and location really opened my eyes.
@@markdunham2944 i had mine hand delivered to the st paul ice show last year. Shawn had Joe Holland deliver them. Great to meet Shawn and Joe and great to have my Jack Traps.
I am years away from being able to get into front facing sonar but I like the HD shuttle. One suggestion id make is to make the battery compartment screws captured. I totally see myself dropping them in the snow
Amazing setup! I'm just waiting for HD to get more stock - their gear looks so sick! Also interested in that screen recorder! I'm using the old red one and I've lost so much footage on it.
THat set up is amazing, so compact, and so powerful. I'm going to get basically the exact same set up as this. Would you recommend anything else you didn't mention in the video? Thanks for the top notch content Jay.
Hey Jay love you videos! If you ever get the chance you should check out lake cascade in Idaho, no better place to find jumbo perch keep up the hard work!
Jay! Love the videos! Keep em up! I have a question, what mitts are you wearing in this video! I have searched and searched! New product?? Let me know! Merry Christmas!
Thanks for the great overview, Jay! I'm running the 106sv with a full Arclab setup. No issues with their product, but I was wondering if you've compared weights of the HD with the Arclab? The HD product looks really great too, although I have no issues with the Arclab either.
Would be nice if the Norsk battery you were recommending was actually available to the public. "Coming Soon" has been listed on their site for well over a month and half. Not sure how much longer I can wait. 😊
A person can still have a great day with basic electronics, knowledge, maybe a bit more effort. Livescope is great but also hard to justify if your content fishing without it. Its a nice to have, not a need to have for sure.
I've had better fishing trips before I started using electronics. Drilling tons of holes in all directions and then searching for them used to be the ticket.
I wanna see someone try the new Lowrance Eagle Eye 9 FFS on the ice, only people with videos on it this far seem to be guys in the south using it on their trolling motor. For $1000 and no black box it seems like an interesting entry level unit.
Buy once cry once I think to spend money on anything but what you want and what does exactly what you want is a waste because in the long haul you’ll buy something less and be stuck wanting more and then having to spend more to get what you want after you sell the lesser unit and lose money on it second hand etc etc. just my 2 cents.
Looking hard at a 22IF. I know it’s older panoptix tech but about 1/3 the size and weight and no pole. I’ve been waiting for something smaller and more portable for a long time. Wish I had the same thing with live scope.
Great information! Awesome products by HD! Curious if you will be doing another one of these information videos on some quality underwater cameras comparisons best for your money best picture quality underwater etc? My old pan cam is kind of outdated and looking to make a new purchase just don't know what I want yet...
I wish you had published this video a bit earlier. I purchased Summit shuttle, pole and honestly, I am a bit disappointed now. Hope the quality of it is up to scratch as well.

Can someone explain why he said he’s talked about hd innovations for 3-4 years when I bought a summit shuttle last year because jay was using it and raving about them?
Jay, do you know if we can run the live scope then switch to a regular transducer on the same unit? I see so many guys running both systems on the ice, just curious why run both or one or the other.
3d printing is fantastic for prototyping, DIY and testing. Some of the products during the Outpost (Ice) were printed Protos (shhhhh) lol. For full professional production IJ with the proper design and materials is the way to go.
@@imp818 As an ME i totally understand why sheet is the way to go for this application. My gripe was that 3D printing as a technology does not produce weak components in a professional setting. I have a question for you Jay, or anyone really. This could possibly be the dumbest question you've received, but on this shuttle with the voltage readout, when I plug my charger in, what is it supposed to read/show to tell me its at full charge? Thank you
Not sure that i justify purchasing another one of those crappy poles to use.. I have his original bag/shuttle/pole on my lvs 32...this thing is horrible to try and use. Ive been wanting to upgrade. But i dont want to stick with the same brand shuttle as before. Are there any others out there besides arclab or summit?. I dont want aluminum for ice.
