    I think this is my favourite time right now in terms of all the activities we can set up to develop so many new skills. So much tactile development going on. I feel so happy for her that she gets to experience all of these to her hearts content without anyone limiting her. She feels so much pride when she does something she has been struggling with its so great to watch.

      I love this time too! Though I feel myself worrying that I'm missing the chance to introduce something at any given point because she's SO interested in everything now 🥺

    We decorate and color cardboard boxes all the time to mix it up a little! I loved the tracks idea! And I’ve been meaning to make sound jars for forever!

      Thanks Holly! Definitely recommend bypassing glass spice jars for the sound cylinders. They work well but they're soooooo heavy on a tray 😅

    Me: “how did she get all that ice? Did she make it??”
    Me two seconds later: “ohhhh yeah it’s still meant to be winter” meanwhile it’s 88 here in AZ 🤦🏼‍♀️

    OMF yess I'll share a pic of the sink or float activity. She loves going around bringing anything she can. I had to stop myself from overeating when she would self correct whne she put the items in the wrong category and picked it up again to put it in the right one! Im so glad i took a more conscious effort into not being too involved in it.
    Garlic press!! Yes love sequencing right now and using new tools.
    :( snooowwww i have to use the foam or jelly instead for sensorial.
    We've been melting all sorts it started from watching the coconut oil melt in our hands 4 months ago. I love transformation schema work especially within cooking.
    Didn't think to use paint to actually make footprint art but we have been matching footprints that I printed before onto paper before we made prints in play doh.
    I think Hudas favourite sorting activities are with sze sorting mainly with amitems around the house.
    Hahha this is great she always sorts the clothes but i never used our family cards to make into an activity on its own.
    I felt so proud that Huda has really taken to shapes especially the difference between 2d shapes and 3d shapes and matching the 2d form of a shape and the 3d. I picked up on this when I was showing her the difference between a pyramid and a prism created out of magnatiles and she ran to get her puzzle piece to match it saying prism! I didn't expect that she was actually picking up on these worda i was saying i just was thinking out loud prescribing them wondering if i was correct or not.😅
    Awhhhh man i have soooo many pictures of all the houses she has made and the sunlight in the kitchen is the best chance for these animals to experience this. We have been looking through the colours. Right now she loves colours mixing together i think the Mix it up book was a good ttigger for this interest we have been making the butterflies too. I just can't find the time to upload these as items to an official post describing them in the community. Once you post this to the community i will find the pictures to share.
    I feel so bad that we havnt been doing the sound jars but she has enjoyed the smell jars. I can't find enough materials that have a distinct sound to them. Everything sounds so similar. What have you used?
    😅 the space here is so limited that I use the stairs as part of our obstacle course and take the slide board to our room for a bigger course.

    • @MariaandMontessori
      @MariaandMontessori  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ooh the stairs! I'm kind of glad Stella is still not too interested in trying to walk on them..I'm not ready for that, considering I fell and bruised my ribs on that not too long ago 😅
      For the sound cylinders, I used vase fillers (plastic gems)-about 15 each, 1 single jingle bell, dry oatmeal, and dry macaroni. In the glass spice jars, these ended up being a pretty varied combination, especially because I added more of the "loud" vase fillers and less of the "soft" dry macaroni, so they were even more distinct!

      @@MariaandMontessori thank you i thought of adding some pistachio nuts too which sound a bit different due to shell..i think this is a good veriety.
      And bless you i fell down the stairs 2 times after giving birth and then after her first birthday both times hurting my back but we have carpeted stairs it sound like you guys have exposed stairs??

    • @MariaandMontessori

      @@AmmaraSHAH773377 yes... it's not common here but I have terrible seasonal and environmental allergies so no carpet at all for me. We put stair treads on them but I was running down in slippery fuzzy socks holding rashly expressed milk. It was set up for disaster

      I’m thinking of joining Ashley’s Montessori Parenting group. Do you think the membership is worth it? How long have you been a member if you don’t mind me asking??? Thanks for any info you can give me. :)

    • @MariaandMontessori
      @MariaandMontessori  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Prisclittle I got to join in at the very start since I'll be the first guest speaker there! 🥰 I think it'll really depend on what you're looking for. It's not the same content as an e-course or book or even videos explaining Montessori. But it's a very respectful community that's covering a variety of topics. Ashley herself will join in the comments, and I spend a lot of time there too. Just today we had some activity ideas shared, some "include your child" meal ideas, discussions of rewards vs not during potty learning, getting spouses onboard... I've also seen discussions on independent play, finding the time for toy rotations, materials that are or aren't worth the money, going to a Montessori schoop or not, etc. So I think it really depends on whether that type of space to share ideas and ask questions is of value in your journey right now or if you need something different!

    Hello! What are the red and white pebbles that you used in sorting activity? Where can I get it from?

    • @MariaandMontessori
      @MariaandMontessori  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! They were called "vase fillers". I got them at my local dollar tree (www.dollartree.com/product/279682). Online, however, they have minimum quantities, so I recommend checking in person or an option on Amazon like this (amzn.to/3RJ5DRl)!
