I had an '89 Signatture Series, fully loaded, and that 5.0 was quite sluggish. Also had an '89 Executive Series, which was not as loaded as the Sig. Same engine, 5.0, but seemed to have lots more get-up to it; maybe all the wiring for all tbe extas weighed it down. 🤷♀️ NOW, I have a '98 Sig Series w/the 4.7 in it; I had doubts about it, being a "smaller" engine, but this car DOES have WINGS! 😂 I wonder if these "modern" cars have that same pronlem I had w/them on the '80's Lincolns. I still miss my Eighties Lincs, they had such a commanding appearance, and the newer Lincs didn't even over cloth interiors anymore. 😔
@Weirdlayer01 I see what you're saying but that's not true. This is an 80s car. 80s cars are notorious for being low quality builds and rushed to production. They have terrible rust issues but the aesthetic is there to be sure. Modern cars lack aesthetics.

These features were cheaply and haphazardly put into these cars and usually didn’t last more than 5-10 years. The car itself will run forever as long as it’s not abused and maintained tho. Can’t go wrong with a 302 and aod trans

Only missing massage and heated/cooled seats, rear vents, touch screen, back up camera, bluetooth, wifi, autonomous driving, wine/drink cooler, air bags, and self park.
That's a hell of a car! And I'm proud to have owned one. The ride is like a dream. You can legitimately fit six large people in this thing, in comfort.
MPG - yes, compared to the new stuff, floaty suspension - hell yeah - it's not a flaw at all. Reliability - they are simple and easy to fix. Some of those Lincolns racked up a million miles, so I don't know what you mean by mechanical problems
Because these cars were unsafe, impractical, and huge gas guzzlers. Long bulky family sedan that was a pain in the ass to park normally, unsafe features no crumple zones so you take much of the damage in a car accident, and gas guzzlers that probably made 8mpg
