  • Shot in the middle of painting in the studio, quite random but hopefully a little bit informative and interesting if your battling with distant tree colours.

    Lovely work as always Wayne,so glad I discovered your TH-cam channel. Did you modify your pochade box panel holders or did it come like that? I got a pochade box for Xmas and those metal panel clips are a pain in the rear. 😀 Keep up the good work!

      Hi Andy, thanks. No mine came like that, it's a Sienna all in one. Theres things about that are good and things that are not so good. Workmanship is great, the tiny hinges are the biggest disappointment so far.
      And I often use it on a surveyor's tripod that I've modified to fit the 1/4inch camera screw. The surveyors tripod is super sturdy.

    Looks like you're painting on a photo, really beautiful. By the way, you must have other hobbies/professions besides painting as painting doesnt usually build up your shoulders like you have or maybe you are using really heavy brushes. Thanks for a very nice informative video.

    Amazing , looks so real . Question : how to match the Hue saturation and temperature , is there a compatible pallette of colors with matching both . Thanks for the video.

    • @waynevickersart2141
      @waynevickersart2141  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My palette of colour is always simple and I can easily manipulate both the saturation(chroma) and the colour temperature. To be honest my distant forest greens are usually very low saturation, often quite grey. And with just the yellow or orange it's easy to warm up the mix. Hope this answers your question 🎨

    Yea... I do that... I think I'm finished... it sits... I look at it a month later... and I'm not happy... pick it up and mess with it... and this goes on for about few months... AND THEN I MESS IT UP and I'm knocked back to a few months before the first "completion"... lol. I take a pic with my phone of my painting when I'm done abs it will show me my boo-boos...lol

    Nice one Wayne, but its not a good idea for an artist on a youtube channel just showing the finishing of a painting and nothing else. Just saying

    • @waynevickersart2141
      @waynevickersart2141  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Omer, it was just a quick studio clip. I am a working artist not a dedicated youtube creator but I am also self taught, if I have a quick tip that I think will help people who are where I was a few years back it's nice to share. If you look through my other videos you will find my complete painting process covered. Cheers 🎨

      @@waynevickersart2141 thanks Wayne, i just wanted your beautiful paintings and your name to reach more people, more subscribers in the end of the day. Thatswhy i mentioned the painting from the start thing. People love watching realistic paintings on youtube thesedays but from start to finish.ıts not clear to me what you mean by working artist not a youtube creator. For example what is Andrew Tischler doing? Is he a youtube creator but not a working artist? I understand your purist approch but i insist you should be in full gallop on youtube as a working artist... I didnt want to sound snobbish, i just want your channel grow quickly, See you
