If you want to properly disinfect your cleaning cloth, try placing it in the microwave for a few minutes: you will eliminate all the germs and bacteria. For a fresh, heady scent throughout the house, add a cap of fabric softener to the water you use to wash the floors.
If you're in a hurry to dry damp socks, try putting them in the microwave for a few minutes and they'll be dry in no time. Fabric softener is also very useful for deodorizing curtains or for cleaning various surfaces in your home - you just need to dilute it properly. Dry your clothes quickly in the washing machine by adding a dry towel to the load before starting the spin cycle. If you want spotless glass windows, mix water, alcohol and vinegar together and spray on the glass to remove dirt, stains and streaks.
If you don't have time to iron your shirt, spray warm water on it and stretch it out with your hands. To rejuvenate a well-used mop, leave it to soak for a few minutes in a mixture of water, vinegar and baking soda.
