I wanted to pin a comment here because of some great information from comments. Thank you everyone! In villages it seems certain chests, such as the blacksmith's chest and butcher's chest do pull from a luck-based loot pool, so mimics can actually spawn in villages! By that same logic mimics may be able to be found in other areas of RLCraft that I have not personally tested, so do be on the look out and try not to get jump scared when you find a mimic in a random place! Secondly, if you are in multiplayer RLCraft, you can access your friend's backpack by right clicking on it when you are close to them, which is very convenient for team raiding! Thirdly, the sentient cleaver now only stacks vulnerability 100%, so you will be ignoring all mob defense and doing some extra damage, which is still incredibly strong, just not infinitely strong like before.
hello i paly 2.9.2c find a bug，If you do not open loot chests by repeatedly holding shift and right clicking the loot chests up and down, it will refresh the chests generation. In other words, you will get 100% mimics if you keep moving them up and down，but it fixed in2.9.2b😢
Just wanted to point out/let you know that the 'max battleaxe' is made for pvp (true strike being useless for pve) and has luck 2 instead of ash destroyer V, which would be MUCH better for lost cities fighting (tho arguably, if going into lost cities buff-less, a random weapon with luck 2 would be great alongside nunchakus or whatever the main weapon is)
also Rouge like dungeons specifically the single chest in the middle of the room in these dungeons also pull from a random loot pool from what I can tell (test using spectator mode grants a message "loot for this chest not yet spawned" or something akin to that (dont have the specifics off hand). I havent gotten a mimic to specifically spawn from them but I bet its possible based on that message. :)
Something I learned recently while playing. If you've got a buddy with you, they can access your backpack while it's on your back (right click on it when you're close to them). Makes it a crazy bit more useful for team raiding. People carry supplies or loot in the backpack and anyone can have access to it.

A couple things you didnt mention. 1 There is a bauble called the Antidote vessel dropped by mimics. It allows you to wear higher durability armors in the LC and essentially rock those Silver like effects. 2nd. There is a new Shivaxi stricture "shivaxi village" with the rarest villagers available. Trades for rainbow runes that give you random items. (I'll leave them as a surprise) 3rd. Shivaxi bosses drop a very specila item. Enjoy. As a Public service announcement. You can be 1 shot in LC even with max golem armor and buffs. Viral stacks and does insane damage and will just 1 shot you. Doesnt matter if you have undying baubkes or not. Be sure to carry totems of undying and a broken heart bauble if you dont have the antidote vessel.

A few Chests in Villages can be mimics after some testing. Blacksmiths, and the small square village homes (with Chests inside and/or on top of the house) can be Mimics. The one on top of the house is especially dangerous, because your only escapes are pillaring up and climbing down the ladder (the top is surrounded by fence).
This has been in the game for quite a while I've noticed, but if you get the dodge ability, sprint, jump and hit the dodge button at impact you can do a super jump. Takes some practice but when you get it down its a great early game speed boost! Hope i helped someone😜

If you are using bone mushroom spores to make thick potions then there is a slightly easier way to get thick potions. I found out that you can put a cauldron over a fire, fill with two bottles of water, one potion ingredient (I use spider eyes) to make a mundane potion, then pour a bottle of water into the mudane potion to make 3 potions of thick potion.

wine tip: you can easily make netherwart stew once you have access to the nether and these stews remove ALL of your bad status effects that you get from drinking wine, great substitute of ankh shield for early/mid game imo.
I just got bored of my other games and thought of returning to my RLCraft world. I played for a little while and then remembered about Casualty and that he hadn't posted in about 1 year. But then I searched on youtube and I saw this new video "posted 2 hours ago" :D
I started my Hardcore RLCraft 2.9.2 the day it came out (complete coincidence). After 37 attempts of 5+ hours on at least 10 of them, I gave up and edited the NBT of my latest one to Regular Hard Survival. Last RLCraft I played was when it came out, so I have sooo much to learn! Love your videos, I'm onto looking at what full enchants I need to make my Flamed Dragonbone Nunchaku's OP. Maybe if Shivaxi eventually updates the Hard Hardcore config to 2.9.2 I will do another attemppt at the HC :D

He says: - 2.9 and 2.9.1c Worlds ARE (mostly) compatible with 2.9.2 HOWEVER there are 2 commands you will need to run if you insist on staying on old worlds to update quests and loot tables; /bq_admin default load /bqs_loot default load - You will also need to run "/fml confirm" (for servers only) on first boot, to confirm some item registry changes But I can't run these commands because I don't have permission. Did you run them? Do you know how to give yourself permission?
I'm now realizing I forgot to do the commands, lol, that's probably why my lost cities loot was messed up, but, if you open your world to LAN it'll you can give yourself operator, but the world might crash after, so you might have to reload the game

Note/bug about the backpack that me and friends have experienced: When picking up a chest (with open lock) while having a backpack on will result in the backpack disappearing completely or temporarily. I'm not sure what causes this but that's what I've experienced and found out the hard way
Have new enchantments been added in the past few updates? Haven’t done a playthrough in probably a year or so and max enchanting gear has always been one of my favorite parts of the progression and end-game.
No notable enchantments have been added. Rune piercing capabilities has been made better though, and swifter slashes goes to V again. Other than that I can't think of anything meta defining off the top of my head.

Started new world and found 2 swamp mansions (idk how they called correctly) within like 30-40 blocks one from other. Not sure how do I feel about that, as my last playthrough was just with it as initial base...
I'm not 100% sure but when you were at the part talking about the blocks i beleive some of those were added in 2.9 and/or 2.9.1 (at least among those used in the structure) a few of the blocks you placed tho looked similar to lycanite blocks which i woulda sworn lycanites is no longer doing 1.12.2 as they seem newer since I usually build my place out of demonstone and then use alot of the various lightsource blocks just from lycanites to light up stuff inside and outside.
Actually, mimics can spawn in villages. I opened one of the butcher chests, the mimic was there, and then the meat spilled out onto the floor. Ended up getting a shock pendant
Despite having the backpack be a bauble now, its still not quite usable. RLCraft just isnt one of those modpacks where you want to put a backpack down on the ground, and start rummaging thru items, especially with stuff like Lycanites running around, and mobs just flat out ignoring light levels.
I wish I wish I wish that the ank shield carried the walk thru cobwebs effect like ring of free action, it really should since it’s crafted with it!!!!

Some blacksmith chests are not pregenerated

18:39 sentient cleaver was fixed, does (non stacking) vulnerability (+100% dmg) now instead of the previous stacking viral effect

You can! You just have to transfer the world file between folders! I did it myself and had no issues :3
