  • Michael Matania shares his inspiring work bringing Mindfulness to one of London's toughest crowds: teenage gang members.
This is a fascintating insight into how spirituality can go from a middle class luxury to a cornerstone of the welfare state. We discuss how to side steps our allergies to woo, what breaks the culture of silence around mental health and what happens to our vision of progress when we realise we are all walking wounded.
For fans of Metamodernism, this is the Listening Society in practice. To learn more about Micheal's work on 'Mixed Mental Arts', check out Tough Cookie (Tough-Cookie.co.uk).

Nice shooting fellas! One can see how your 'hands on' keeps your 'heads in' ... I found brown beards (err Micheal's) acknowledgement of our everyday parade of 'role' masks - masquerade? hot stuff, with it BigBrother become a bunch of LittleBrothers and the Matrix goes plural - seems a full balanced diet (we cook ourselves) is what's needed rather than a single pill to get us... better! Good Work.
