First I heard G3A leaving Whittaker Yard heading Southbound toward Atlanta, then just before they made it to the crossing here comes the Amtrak Crescent #20!!! The crew on Amtrak put on a super cool horn show for me and Tommy, and the crew on G3A waved to him! Awesome sight!!! Watch and check it out!!! And a cameo by my little boy T at the end watching the train!

@RailroadExpeditions You'd have to come to this side of Atlanta to see these crews, they change in Atlanta. They run from Meridian,MS to Atlanta and back...
But yea it's well worth the drive to see these guys for sure!!!
@PeavineRailfanner True! Well you have to factor in all the equations, Amtrak is ALWAYS moving pretty quick through here, the other train G3A was departing Whittaker Yard AND climbing a grade, so I knew they'd be the slower train....

Thanks! This wasn't Big Moe. The was the 'Super Crew' these guys are no longer together, one of them still comes by and occasionally does a much smaller horn show...

Great vid and a heck of a horn show, but the best part is the little tyke watching the train disappear.
@JgordonAmtrak1 This was my favorite catch of the last week, Moe did a great show for us the next day almost like that one!

@BCAmtrak1 Yea good luck with that, there's not any, you can get the general idea of what time frame certain trains come through if you're out in a certain place from day to day, but they don't run on a set schedule...
@JgordonAmtrak1 This is the 'Super Crew' from Friday's!!! Got them this morning on 19 and they did another Shave & Haircut. Maybe call them the 'Shave & Haircut Crew'!!!

@CQDX018 Yea that was amazing! First this morning with Big Moe then this crew, 2 awesome Amtrak crews in one day! Yea you could see Tommy still watching the train as it was going down the tracks! I HAD to get that in the video!

@GSMR1702 That wasn't Big Moe, he was on the 19 this morning, I 'might' know these guys, but they sure know me from all the times I've been out here, and they saw little T with me and gave him a great show. He'll look back at this video one day and say dang those were some cool guys! G3A probably is cars from a few trains that went into Whittaker during the day today that needed to go to Atlanta and either be unloaded or transferred.
I wish guys like that were on the NEC

@theshugchannel I hear ya, I'd love to see some vids of the crews up your way blowing the horn all crazy like these guys used to...now it's 'mostly' Big Moe that does this...the Super Crew got split up...

@BNSF9192 Yea I think he has fun out here with me, when I get him ready to go, I always ask him are you ready to go see some trains, he doesn't say much yet, but he always says 'yea' when I ask him! These Amtrak crews are all great guys for sure!
