Today I finished up the last of Asian pears and made 2 glasses of pear cider. We still got a few persimmons to pick, but persimmons did not do well this year. Last year was overloaded with persimmons. Some trees produce biennial. In the old days, cider was fermented to save apple juice as a drink all year long. Same as grapes were fermented and beer was made from grains. Fermentation cleaned up the dirty water and got people drunk as a bonus...so they could escape from their tough life. And back then, the living was very tough. Not like the pusses complain about nowadays. One day humans learned how to make cheese and they could now preserve milk for later use. Cows produce 5 - 7 gallons of milk a day, 365 days a year. So, preserving milk was an important discovery. You got 4 months to prep for planning next year's fruit tree season. Fruit trees are like trapping. They work for you to produce food without lots of work. Don't let 2024 go by without planting lots of fruit and nut trees...if you got the land. Stop fondling your guns and gold and study up your fruit and nut tree plans.
thank you for letting robbie speak as the expert he is! he finally seems comfortable and i'm super excited for him! keep it up! you all rock it all the time, thank you!
WILD WOMAN BUSHCRAFT: Just thought I'd add a couple comments about her. Yes I know the channel name is kind of different but I'm sure sounded good in the translation! :-) Vanessa is a young, I think pretty, German woman that does bushcrafting videos, obviously in Germany, specifically Bavaria. She also does some videos from what she calls her "self sufficiency farm". It's not just a matter of prepping but is the way she lives her life, kind of a homesteader. She has a great knowledge of natural edibles in her area. She has had some ups and downs over the years but I feel has always been very genuine. I do enjoy her channel a lot.
When building a home, I would make some ballistic walls by using metal studs and 3/4 plywood on both sides and filled with 1/2 to 3/4 gravel. This will stop rifle rounds. These walls can also be added to existing structures.
I have built plenty of those walls around my gun club and they seem terribly impractical for building a house and good luck dealing with the weight and getting the plan for adding them to your existing home past your wife.... For a new home, I might think that some variation on the rammed earth walls might work. On an existing home, maybe some combination of steel plate and ballistic fiberglass sheets. It won't be cheap or light but the choices are limited.
Try ICF construction. It's also bulletproof and has a very high insulation rating. If you use it for all the exterior walls the entire house, except for windows and doors, is bulletproof. You can also build a room in the center of the home, starting in the basement, you can build a column all the way up.
The AR platform can be carried in a backpack by removing the upper. It will take a few seconds to put it back in action but then you will have a serious gun with you.
The built out trucks are overland rigs, I have a 4Runner, I am built out too, I am a overlander. It is my only rig. We are the ultimate bug out people.
Doomsday Preppers had a show on using sand for bullet protection. Idiot lawyer and wife prepper podcasters hate Doomsday Preppers. Doomsday Preppers is a fantastic series. You see all stripes of preppers. Get it from your library. Some of them are on YT.
Question: 1st, if this has been asked before I apologies in advance, In regards to an EMP, will the EMP penetrate the ground, if so any idea of how far down in the ground? Generator will not be much use if an EMP hits, But if I put it in the ground and cover with cardboard, and maybe a metal container, might it survive? Just wondering. Thanks
I see a lot of (mostly trucks) near me with a bunch of gun stickers and other logos on them. I just shake my head. Even some of our local ranges and trainers sell their own merch (hats, stickers, shirts), and I would never run around with any of that on. I want to draw as little attention to myself as possible.
Don, I do hope you have looked up "Wild Woman Bushcraft". Vanessa is a tough as nails bushcrafter from Bavaria. She's a homesteader, camper, hiker, explorer etc. Please check her channel out.
If the internet goes down and you have nudie magazines, start a rental business.... It's $5 for the first 10 minutes, and a quarter for each additional minute. You could probably also hawk some hand sanitizer at your booth as well.
The reason to not use your fingerprint or face to open your phone is because police can then open your phone without permission. If it's a pin you have the right to remain silent and not disclose your pin.
Have cameras on your property. Courts want that evidence.

@@StirlingQShagnasty We are building an ICF home with 8 inch walls.
Walmart now has overhead cameras at registers. The ones that were attached, did not get images of shorter people.

Tornados happen. A tornado room could also work as a safe room.
😮 a tornado room??? I've lived in tornado alley all my life and never heard of a "tornado room "
Where can you get gold and silver
Great videos. I request that you do a review on the Esee 5 and Esee 6 knives. Thanks, Sootch & Robbie. 👍🏾🇺🇸😃
I have an Esee 5. It’s a solid knife. I personally prefer the Esee4HM.
EMP's can take out satellites, but it depends on the altitude of the burst.

What would you do if those vehicles shut down?? Would you want a vehicle from the early 2000's on back??
I turned on TH-cam notifications for you guys, I am not a notifications guy lol

Any thoughts on talking about other means of comms? ie Lora Meshtastic, Ham etc? (if you have done it, my apologies)
If i have to keep a spare part of my glock pistol, what would you recommend?
Which is the better generator a Jackery or a Patriots generator? I found a Jackery; a 2000 that has a 30AMP plug. Cindy
I’ve been thinking about getting a Jackery.
Patriot company is a scam.... Everything they sell is marked up by 50% compared to other companies even their food is ridiculously overpriced.
Great question. We think alike.

Do you know of anyone that has tried using capsaicin on an injury for pain relief?
My bf does! I put it on his bad shoulder and it is the one in a heat patch

Just because someone is illegal doesn’t mean they’re going to rob you.
Well, you already know that they are willing to break the law by being illegal....
Sootch already stated this. Whats your point?
Well let them stay on your property then
