(006) Wafer lock picking - car door lock (Peugeot 107)

  • I like picking wafer locks, they are relatively easy to pick and rake and there are lots of them around to practise on (make sure they are yours and not in use!). In this video, I'm going to pick a new Peugeot 107 car door lock a number of different ways using "jiggler" keys, automotive double-sided wafer lock rakes and a hollow diamond pick/rake.
    Remember: only pick locks that are yours and that are not in use!

    Between your channel and BosnianBill, I've already learnt so much about the art of lockpicking, and I wanted to express my sincere thanks for all the information you've put out to the sport/art. I've only just started, but I feel like I already have a decent backing in the theory just from you and Bill. So, again, thank you so much for all your work!

      If your going to try to turn over the ignition i would just be patient and cautious, plus there is a car lock decoder that you can pick up that might save your bacon when doing ignitions. Heres a link to just show you what it looks like www.clksupplies.com/products/lishi-2-in-1-pick-decoder-for-honda-high-security-hon66

      Farmer Bob i wasn't really being serious about the tractors lol if i did run into a problem with missing keys then id be taking the ignition out and starting it the old fashion way. Plus its not like they have ignition control modules with micro chip detection or anything.

    I just got that lock pick set for my birthday today. I've been using it on master locks and a clear practice lock. I'm hesitant to try picking a car lock yet, because I don't want to damage one. I'll have to swing by a junk yard and see if I can't get one for cheap.

      Yeah, best never to pick a lock that is in use, even if you have permission. Sparrows do a gridlock series of auto locks you might find interesting :-)

    I must say, I have going back and watching many wafer lock videos to try and learn more. I got the Sparrows Gridlock set and I was having a stroke trying to figure out why their hard. Turns out, they do have sort of false gates to them. I'm not that bad, they are that good. Tricky dicks they are. I can use the giggle keys but I want to learn to swp them.

    Reviving this video 4 years later... :) Question for @Lock Noob - first, I notice you ave two sets of jiggler keys - are they different? And where are they from? Second, are these jiggler keys different from the keys that Sparrows sell as "Coffin Keys'? If so, in what way? Thanks for your videos, man - I subscribed to your channel some time ago now, and always interesting. PS: didn't know you had a beard (your reflection is in the lock surround ;) )

    Why does everyone says we should not pick locks in use? What about if they are ours and have access to the normal key? Why is that not good?

    • @LockNoob
      @LockNoob  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A number of reasons, that will form part of an upcoming video. Top reasons are that there are ways in which you could damage the lock by picking and also the risk of snapping a tool off in the lock. Just not worth it :-)

    Great video.
    Just curious if the jigglers work on off set wafer locks?
    I have saved a few friends when they lock their keys in their cars/trucks using the jigglers
    I tried to open a Hyundai door for a co worker who locked keys inside and couldn't get it after 15 min of trying
    Once the auto service came and jimmed the door I got to look at the key and noticed it was off set
    Just wondering if I need more practice or if they dont work on off set
    Thanks for the great content 😁🤙

      It might work on some of the juggler can contact the wafers - they don’t work on some locks with good bitting and or false notches on the wafers :-)

      That y wrench comes as part of the GOSO 24 piece kit (which isn't fantastic). It's only real use is automotive locks, so it's hard to recommend getting one. I haven't seen any for sale separately

    Why in the world is the lock positioned sideways?

    • @LockNoob
      @LockNoob  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      2 reasons, 1 being that the tail piece of the lock was getting in the way of the vice jaws and 2, because it doesn’t matter which way round it is, it picks the same.

    First car lock i tried was on my 99jetta, never tried other cars as i take lock noobs advice of "never pick a lock that is in use," but i had to since my keys were in the car. It only took a rake and 10 seconds, but then my mom had me pick the door on her 98 mercury, it took me damn near an hour to get in. Vw have poor cores was my conclusion when i did another vw same thing happened.

      Man, u all think that is só simple like u see in this vídeos?! Grow up, this locks in this kind of vídeos are all faked pins and security off like the locks u buy in China to pratice, but if u want to open for real u have to pratice a lot with REAL locks and prepare your self to fail 90% of times before u can open(of course old car locks u open with little knife or spoons..
