Make an old champ like ryze and renekton be strong when they're ahead then everybody is going to starts complaining.

League has been out since I was in secondary 1 ( I started at sec 2) I am 26 now and it blows my mind that people who have been playing for years don’t know about auto cancels and Animation cancels
people who don't know what animation cancel mean... aa->W is a basic attack reset not an animation cancel, using R during W is a cast time/animation (variosu names for various games) stacking not an animation cancel (aka, you're still locked in the W animation for the full duration, you do not cancel it, but the lockdown from both W and R are going through at the same time effectively not being affected by the R cast lockdown). if you want to see actual animation cancel in league of legends, from the top of my head, there's the whole thing with riven that cancel the recovery of her Q by walking first so she can auto attack faster after each Q, and there's darius doing W->Q using the unstoppable windup from his W so that it still goes through if you cast a spell after initiating the attack command.
After the second dash swain was behind him, so if he auto attack his champ would stop moving and within the auto timer swain might have flashed out of q range. You can see he opts to walk towards swains turret instead of auto attacking to read the flash with q. Auto attacking there is risky and swain might live. If swain had no flash, then yeah, I agree another auto attack cancel animation with q would’ve been the play. Insane how optimal Zeus is

You can also cancel your Ironspike Whip/Goredrinker/Stridebreaker animation with his Q. A full combo would be E -> AA -> W -> R -> Item -> Q -> E2 -> AA.
The art of fitting autos in between your combos goes a long way in early all ins. Even for champs like ryze or syndra. An auto is 40-45dmg lvl 1, it's huge
Tbh I would have done an auto after the E2 and before Q instead of after Q. You can auto Q to animation cancel as well. Since Q has a bigger range, if the enemy flashes away, you can use Q to finish him off. But if you do Q auto, the auto might to go off in time.
I feel bad for Renekton mains. Their champ was dominant in solo queue for so many seasons until he became a staple in proplay. Now he’s just a turd of a champ and you should be reported for playing him.
I used to be a Renekton main, but I just can't play him anymore. His kit and identity are driving him to be based around his Q healing in skirmishes, but actually playing him like that barely works anymore

Animation cancels on abilities shouldn't exist and feel like a bug. I get the animation cancels on auto attacks but abilities have specific length animations to do stuff.
I'm a renekton main and it's actually pretty bad. Yeah, that bork one shot to carries is kinda insane, but that's it. He struggles against almost every matchup, and since this is a tank meta, he's even worse, since he doesnt have the dps to drain hp like darius, garen, fiora or camille.

his a safe pick because his strong early so good for making early pressure and leads for the team overall(early dives with 2 dashe plus flash), forgiving when you make a mistake and because of his easy play style you make less mistakes which is important in pro play where every decision matters (renekton is beefy no matter what stage of the game) Renek also has less hard counters top because all of them are decent match ups Most pro plays are decided in mid game so it makes sense

You are talking about a pro player who is in a high elo game, the player they are facing should have to knowledge to know that Renekton could be baiting a back and position properly outside the range of E but instead they walked right up to the bush. Also they didn't flash or ult right away but instead wait till last second to do both, if they flashed right away then Renekton wouldn't have gotten that second dash and they would have been able to turn and fight so flash was needed but ult would be on the spot to use or not. High elo player HAS the reaction time for this. We are not shown the names or anything to know if this was really high elo or a custom game for the video. A video curving the narrative instead of giving all the information
