Kind Charles and Queen Camilla did more than drop by, they both had a scheduled tour of the garden show and there was a coronation cake in his honour. They weren’t at all fazed by Catherine being there. they probably welcomed her inclusion in the event and they each toured separate sections and had there own function.
I don’t believe Princess Catherine did anything wrong, I think Charles don’t mind it at all.

Kate and William are impeccably behaved, I don't think for a minute that Kate would have gone to Chelsea on the same day as Charles, without his full knowledge.

I believe King Charles coming to his position so late in life, the expectation put upon him as a 75 year old, behind the scenes, let alone in front of cameras,he must be glad to have Willam and Catherine, to take some of the weight of his monarchy. He could attend all these functions, and stay half the time, than if he was alone. That’s when W & C can’t take some of the pressure. Also, if he, King Charles ‘loses’ it on occasion, then he’s human. Imagine signing an historic one off document, in front of cameras and dignitaries, shown world wide to millions of people, for the ink to splodge and spoil the whole thing. We are all human, but when under pressure, behave badly. Ever been icing a birthday cake with toddlers running around your feet, for example. And that’s minor.

If the King didn't want Catherine there, she would not have been there. He is almost 75 years of age and probably welcomes an energetic younger royal who was there only to help. Paul Burell was generous here and I applaud him. A divorce would require a custody hearing, and if those two "kids" are not Meghan's biological children (which I doubt they are), proof of parentage would have to enter the case. Considering the way Meghan has treated her father and siblings, that doesn't bode well for her future as anyone's "mother."
