Always felt for Moyes at united, got 2 transfer windows with 1 signing in each, needed at least 2 seasons to revamp an ageing team with his own vision before being expected to win the league
@@MrRodzilla obviously I'm not defending the season they had, I just feel as though he needed more backing to make the squad his own, that sqaud was used to fergie and so it was virtually impossible for moyes to win them over
People really forget how bad they were in his time. Directionless football based on aimless crosses into the box. Endless aimless crosses. Also, he resoundly lost the entire dressing room which is absolutely his responsibility and something that more trasnfer windows wasnt necessarily going to alter. He had to go.
David Moyes at United is a case in-point of: never step into a great man’s shoes. Moyesy was brave to take the risk, I think given time he would do well at a big club. But football is not like that anymore unfortunately. A real shame.
The last point he put out was pure gold, coaches who in their first press conference speak about how they want to play attractive entertaining football just because they were star struck by situations and styles they know nothing about; they then become entitled consumers who then believe that if they do something in a certain way, football will owe them a win. The road to hell is paved with the best of intentions and that is why the manager's position has continually lacked credibility and coaches are continually getting sacked
If I was a manager I wouldn’t give a toss about attractive football, it’s about winning and winning in any way possible, the most entertaining football is winning football, fans and players remember the good times, nothing else
I will always maintain that Moyes should have been given a second season at the least at Man Utd. Replacing Sir Alex (The greatest of all time) was always going to be a monumental task. He's right when he says managers don't get enough time anymore. You need time to implement your ideas, and get the players you need to make your system work. These days, if you lose 4 games, you're sacked. It's ridiculous.
I think LVG should have been given more time. Felt like he would eventually weed out the rubbish and get us challenging again. Jose undid all of that because he didn’t understand what the club was about
Are United much better off? Nope. I'm a blue. I was glad Moyes left as I thought it was time for a change. But I think this perception he's a laughing stock is so unfair. He was brilliant for us.
Thought Moyes was brilliant at Everton as well in context. I'm mean what was he supposed to have achieved with the budget he had? Also agree he needed to move on from Everton.
Football he played was appaling. Needed to make signings when you were strong. Yes they’d just won the league but it was clear some reinforcements were needed
he was never given that freedom, he was very much contained in what he wanted to go and buy. I dont think anyone but fergie couldve won with that squad he left behind.
I don't agree with the part about twin strikers getting less common in football. The rise of players like Griezmann, Müller, Dybala, Joao Felix, Jovic, etc. are pushing a lot of coaches to use this system even if it can be hard to find the right profile to play in that false number 9 position. However there's a lot of changes as compared to what we used to see 20 years ago (more attacking full backs, longer possession of the ball, less direct play, etc.). And that's partly due to a higher flexibility as Moyes said.
What a load of rubbish man. He performed absolute miracles at our place finishing in the top six basically every season on a complete shoe string. Under a lot of managers we would have been just avoiding relegation every year not competing for Europe. He was absolutely brilliant at Everton.
He was fantastic at Everton. Look at the signings and the money paid for them, league finishes, European and domestic cup runs. Arteta, Cahill, Baines, Jagielka etc. He took Everton from their dismal days in the 90’s and took them back up the table and regularly finished 5th/6th. Saying he wasn’t good at Everton is an insult and just shows you know fuck all

No matter how much U troll this guy, These sort of interviews show Y he was a top manager in top Leagues. SO calm and level headed.
Proving it now isnt he!

Perhaps not Manchester United‘s most successful manager, but there is no doubting his brilliance as a football mind. Cheers to him!

take him back, ole as assistant manager. David Moyes the chosen one!
Cheer up Moyes, chin up pal. 👍👍👍👊
He must have spent a lot of time analysing his performance at Manchester, what he could have done differently etc.

Rhys Carter it was clear he was just out of his depth managing a club that size of Man Utd

Man Utd failed him, not the other way around. Deserves a promising job. Great coach still.(im a Man Utd fan)
Marcus Cloudy Bollocks. Look at how Ferdinand spoke of him, he lost the dressing room. Soon as you lose the dressing room you have to go.
@@UltimateFeudEnterprise true. Moyes was never a tough manager, he didn't look like someone who would give the players a hairdryer or 2, like Sir Alex
No trophies in his whole management career fantastic manager
I feel sorry for him
We 'might' see goalkeepers play more with their feet, we 'might' see more front 3's .. does the guy still live in 2010?

What, you expect Barca football with players who were severely passed it and too much of Fergie's boys.
Sterling isnt a traditional winger now
Nobody could fill fergies shoes

Far too much talk on formation in football, the game is fluid and dynamic, subuteo is a rigid formation game
Better than Ole for sure.
look, david moyes is a good manager. good enough for united? we will never know, he wasnt given a fair shake.
