  • In July 2021, I graduated from Falmouth University with a Ba(Hons) degree in Film. Now it's over, I have time to think about the course and what I've learnt. Do I regret going to Falmouth? Was the film course worth my time and money? I try to answer those questions in this video.
    If you're going to Falmouth University, I make videos about my experience here and over on my Tiktok. If you're interested and would like more, be sure to subscribe. Please ask more questions down below about the University and I'd love to answer where I can!

    i’ve been binge watching a lot of your content over the last few weeks as part of my prep for falmouth in september, thankyou for your videos they have made me feel alot more content about it as a whole the course and the whole accommodation side too. i’m starting TV next month but was struck between film and tv but eventually went towards TV. In falmouth we’re you given any opportunity’s to work on other film sets outside of the university projects? Thanks

      Ah you’re welcome! I’m glad someone was able to find some use out of these. As for other opportunities, there were a few yeah! Regular emails are sent out detailing various roles available for projects happening around.

    Really great video! I was wondering what you thought about how the film course prepares you to work in industry, and if you found they prepared you for finding jobs in film?

    • @JustLukeMorgan

      Thank you! Ooh good question. See, I think they prepare people very well for the industry (seeing as many of the lecturers are still in the industry themselves), and in your third year especially you are guided into opportunities and helped to find jobs you’re looking for.

    Hey there! I'm really considering going to Uni, but as an international student my biggest concern is the transport and travel capabilities. I've heard bad things about the trains and whatnot. How easy/difficult did you find it to go to other bigger cities in the country?

    • @JustLukeMorgan
      @JustLukeMorgan  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question! The trains can be a little unreliable from time to time, but honestly they are going to be your lifesaver if you don’t drive. There are also coaches that go between the big cities if you don’t mind the longer travel times. I rarely travelled when I was there, but that was just my decision. You can thankfully get around to most of the country!

    I’ve just accepted my offer to Falmouth on the animation and visual effects course, although it’s obviously a very different course because there’s probably not gonna be that many risk assessments or whatever involved this was still really useful. Do you know anyone who’s done this course by any chance? Thanks
