Great tip, thanks Mr Hardware. I usually put Dawn on, then put in jar and pour fully boiling water over it and soak for a few hours, then scrub brush it. I think the Acetone will be good to do afterwards, to get the more stubborn bits out, after softened by the boiling water soak. Solvents are pricey these days and acetone evaporates super fast-- best to use it last👍
Thanks for posting this. I always look forward to your videos ever since you helped me fix my toilet replacing the nipple shaped gasket above the float device.

Pretty much unless you are ever going to be using paint, stripper on a project. I’ve used my old brushes to apply the paint stripper and found that I’ve saved a few of them that way. otherwise your stripper and time would exceed the value of the brush.

Beautiful Harsen's Island!
Thank you.
Excellent. Thanks.
you should wear latex gloves when you work like that with ACETONE - Ii is HIGHLY CARCINOGENIC, along with solvents like BENZENE,
@@steveshalot7351 thanks, toluene and MEK are the 2 I use very carefully. Length of time I’m exposed also affects my protective measures.

If you are using an oil-based paint, then it will impossible to clean the brush if you leave it for more than a day.
