@TheCR1MES exactly. An unhealthy combo is drowned + soul bound + rocket launcher + mask. The mask paired with the rocket launcher I tested this to see if I could survive. At 3 hours I stood still and every time someone died I got a ghost (probably because I had 4 clovers) and for 5 maps I stood still and everything was cleared. That's when I ended my run.
Mobs stop spawning after 3 hours. If the teleporter boss dies as soon as it spawns, the teleport won't completely charge; it stops charging at 99%. Quality gamebreakers

Just another little thing that wasn't mentioned, regarding teleporters: When you spawn, immediately just do a °360, keeping an eye out for some 'golden sparklies'(well that's what I call them. You know/will know what I mean). And then once you recognize those little goldies the first time, you'll be able to recognize them all across the other stages. But like not immediately though, that's just for the first stage. You'll have to run around about a bit most of the time. But they're always there just faffing about above the teleporter, and you'll recognize them more and more I'm sure this is probably just basic knowledge at this point, but it honestly took me SO long to recognize this simple thing I've had this game for almost a year(I think? I'm on PS4 and I bought it the week if release, but I only played like 5ish or so hours up until the past two months). It was because I always thought of "aimlessly running around just looking for the teleporter/but then you just die/oh you made it to the second stage? Run around until you die again. like naw I'm good" This is comment is already way too long, fuck. I had so much to write. Bullet points now -I've played like 40 hours in the past week and it really is a great game -New players: search for the golden sparklies,, finding the teleporter isn't that hard -Huntress is my favorite. I played half a stage as the Mercenary tho, and he's even more "ninja" so hm -this one is just a lil bonus bit here. I had one run where I went up to 10 Hopoo Feathers with the huntress, and it was basically flight and it was really cool. On "Scorching Acres"(the third stage that's not Delta) -if you read this far then first of all thank, it means a lot. Secondly, you must be just as fucking bored as me heh. I really like to write but it always seems to come through in the dumbest ways. Like for instance, spending an hour writing a TH-cam comment oof
huh, those are some stuffs I would have never thought about, I always tried to get all the chests on every single stage including loop 1, most of the time loop 1 stage 4 takes extremely long because very few enemies spawn meaning not a lot of gold but I wanna open everything so it's like 10mins for me on loop 1
not much - you all should be spread across the map, looting in different areas. you should only back-track to where other players were if you are looting an item left for you by another player. otherwise, this info is pretty much the same. you can also maybe designate one person to always save their money for the legendary chest (or a couple people, since there is sometimes more than one chest)
Hey Sam, I've played a lot of in-house multi-player games (but never any pubs). The thing I find that works best is to designate a teleporter-czar which you rotate every level or every loop. It's that persons job to stick near the tele and can decide unilaterally when to hit it. Democracy slows this game down too much. It's the job of the czar to say "suck it up, you're not going to slow us all down to get that one last ? chest." Once you get used to it it feels pretty natural to have one voice be in charge and a few people in your friend group will end up preferring to be followers rather than leaders.
@@timesathousand That's honestly a great idea, and sortof similar to what has to be done in quickplay hubs. The game really needs to emphasize how important the timer is; at least 60% of people in pubs think timer is a minor factor and I dont blame them, ror2 doesnt make it terribly clear. Only reason I know to respect the timer is having played 40 something hours of the first Risk of Rain
After about 50 hours single and 30 multiplayer on monsoon I've always found multiplayer way harder, the chest cost more and things are tankier and it's harder to stack a certain item or go a certain build because you have to share items
Man everyone in multiplayer needs to watch this. People get so mad at me when I'm trying to get through the teleporter and they are waiting 10 minutes for a normal chest.
I've been trying to learn to go faster but I've been doing a consistant 15-18m end to level 3 (going into level 4) And am usually able to make those runs work, at least to Obliteration. Though I'll take these tips and see how my runs begin going by trying to get the Preon every run. Thanks for the video, Woolie! Edit: This is on Monsoon.
the way I play the fourth level is I go around the map and explore while getting chests. What I'm looking for is legendary chests that aren't the guaranteed one. After looting all the non-legendary chests I'll activate the teleporter, kill the boss, and when it reaches about 98% I'll get out of the zone so monsters keep spawning, until I have enough for the one or two legendary chests. This takes advantage of the increased spawn rate from the teleporter event. After getting enough gold, I get back in the zone to complete the event and rush for the legendary chests. Note that this is likely too slow to be worth it the first loop, maybe 1 legendary is worth it. On the second loop it's a lot quicker, on the third loop and after you'll probably have enough money to open everything even if you do the teleporter event right away (maybe kill an initial boss spawn first) The point is to manage your gold income to be as high as it can without sacrificing accuracy, as getting too much would waste time. It might be viable to apply a similarly strategy to the first level: rush teleporter, get 200ish gold, loot map. You don't suffer the low spawn rate as much, but you still keep up your items/stage that is so important for lategame as stage factor will dominate the difficulty.
just bought this game after being pestered by friends and it's real fun! at a level where i can hit endgame on monsoon but i didn't really have a good grasp on playing around time and the other variables, so this video was super helpful. as this game's community grows i can see your channel growing as well, keep up the great videos!
I have been playing ROR (mainly 1) very casually for years and have very poor coordination (mental condition) and struggle to understand game mechanics. I'm finally too sick to study uni so I'm looking forward to binge-studying your vids all day T_T ROR2 Monsoon on a switch is SO hard... I can't even get through level 1. Wish me the best
what would you say is a good time to start clearing more and collecting more items i just tried a run with ur tips and it went great just wasnt sure when to start collecting more items
Rush the first loop. For every stage before the loop, buy 2 or 3 items. Go for the legendary chest only if you need a really good item. After the first loop farm whenever you want
after you loop the game once (so, finish stage 4 and go back to the starting zone) is generally when you want to start looting more, if not most, items
Thanks for the info man , I love that game and started playing Monsoon exclusively . Keep getting my shit pushed in but eh , might be able to push 2 or 3 more stages thx to you .
The 10 minute video length here feels more like a coincidence than an attempt to maximize ad revenue. This is jam-packed with great tips! Makes me wanna play some Monsooooon
I started playing this game yesterday and I pretty much only learned that Money turns into EXP at the end of the stage by watching. That being said I play a LOT of Roguelikes and I probably wouldn't have figured that out without the vid. Thanks!
good to see a "suggested pace" of the game i have been circling between rushing and full clearing and i almost got 50 hours, didnt even play on monsoon yet because i could not get the 20 stage archievment.
I usually rush the first loop, opening large chests if possible and opening 1 or 2 equipment containers if i can find them. This gives me a red item if i'm lucky and might give me good equipment to help me early. The gun thingy is also nice if i'm fast enough of course. Occasionally getting turrets to help with bosses, mostly skipping drones. I often like to get the last stage guaranteed legendary on loop 2 or 3 when gold isn't as hard to ramp up.
On my first loop I like to 1. Find the newt altar 2. Activate the teleporter 3. Quickly open nearby chests after teleporter is charged. If I do this fast enough I shouldn't have any left over gold when advancing. Obviously if I run right past a chest during steps 1 and 2 I open it.
Also for those trying to get better. If the boss 1st boss takes more than 5 minutes to kill you should probably grind more even if it puts you behind schedule. Of course that’s again a situational and skill thing that is different per player
I always spent my time taking litteraly all the chest on the 3 first levels, ending at the Impossible difficulty at the 3rd level and then taking 5-10min to farm the legendary chest in the 4th stage for most of the time an item not so great, thanks for this video, I'll try to get better thanks to you ;)
Yeah I did this too when I started playing. I think this is the reason I found Engineer so busted compared to all of the other characters - I would consistently be able to full loot every stage in 6-7 minutes with Engineer, even on the first loop. Having a good movement skill and being able to mostly ignore enemies and allow your turrets to do the work really made it much quicker.
Just picked it up on ps4. Great tips. Just wondering, is the item that points you in the direction of the portal in this one? It was a time saver in the first game, and would be even better here. Some times it takes me 5 minutes just rushing the teleporter. Just throwing out a few attacks on the way not really going for kills or items.
My problem with the bazaar is it won't take my useless whites, it only seems to accept goggles, syringes and other top tier items. While the printer problem is fixed in 1.0 with the scrapping mechanic, the bazaar still seems to prioritize good items over bad more often than not, and losing 5 good green items for one red item doesn't seem a good deal.
i am very strange in my ways, but they work, so here is what i think is best. time does not matter, items do, and the main ones you want is crit, armor piercing rounds, bleed, red whips are best for mobility, along with hopoo's, the best red to get will be head stompers (H3AD-5T v2), and if you are a beginner, get Dios too if you can. and keep playing over and over, it will get you more in tune with everything happening. and start your first Monsoon run on Captain, since his Microbot stops Elder Lemurian fire balls, and Brass Contraption spike balls, the WORST things ypu will face in Monsoon, same goes for Greater Wisps.
I think you shouldnt farm for the stage 4 chest on the first loop, by the second loop the rate at which you get money is usually way past the cost increases of chests. But honestly, grabbing a bunch of big chests is ALWAYS better; multiple greens with a chance of reds > one red
Honestly the only red that is better than several greens combined is behemoth; even amazing things like daggers aren't as good since wisp is a lesser version of it.
@@chloepechlaner7806 I just had a run where we pumped all the loot into one guy (it's a good strat btw xd) and at one point he possessed 3 ceremonial daggers. That thing is insane... hundreds of daggers flying around the map killing enemies one after another. Like Yondu but on drugs. I think that it's fantastic especially when used together with other stuff that gets procced by kills.
So far my number one problem is finding the teleporter. A lot of times I end up looking for it for 15 to 30mins and just end up dying because it's gotten too difficult for me. There's a lot of maps, which is nice but man...if it's like KF2 in a way when it comes to maps then I'm gonna take like a year to familiarize myself with at least some of these maps without navigation assistance like a mini map or waypoint. Plus the RNG of the items is a double-edged sword for me. At this point I can't get past stage 4 because I die trying to find the teleporter. And I can't get to stage 4 consistently.
I do think that the way the first advice is said is technically correct but can also be misunderstood Yes, full clearing stage 1 is a bit of a gamble because you COULD get lucky, but could end up with a set of items that isn't good Enough for the time scaling. But (even though the video isn't saying this), it also doesn't mean "rush the stage and complete it in as little time as possible" A rule of thumb I've seen ALWAYS play out is, that "Time spent clearing a stage < Items" in terms of how you scale with the enemies. So don't listen to "spend 5 minutes per stage" advice, if you're going to get lots of chests, it's worth "borrowing" that extra time. Items, especially certain items and item combos, are always, always going to put you further ahead on the curve of scaling than simply rushing through and skipping a bunch of chests
Great video, I already kinda rush for the preon ult but I never thought to play on drizzle to farm lunar coins, I'm going to do that now! I was cheap with my lunar coins and only used them when my run was good already. Thanks for your video.
I got 4 ceremonial daggers 7 fireworks and 5 shaped glass on artificer with a bunch of speed items I didn't even need to play anymore I just opened 1 box on the map and everything would die. I killed auralionnite before he even fully finished his spawn animation. I just obliterated myself after 3 hours because I had work in the morning
Haven't tried these yet, but everything you mentioned is dead opposite of what I do so now that I learn how difficulty works, I can probably make it past stage 5-6 on monsoon during a good run (which normally takes me around an hour to an hour and a half)
One thing I just now realized about the teleporters is they have little red flares floating around them this makes finding them much easier idk if im late to knowing that but its extremely useful so i figured I should notify.
Another reason to go to the Bazaar Between Time is the chance to visit the Void Fields, right? If I understand right, since it stops time when you're in there, you can visit that stage to gain items with no increase to difficulty, correct? Doesn't that mean it's always good to go there (if you're already in the Bazaar Between Time), and if not, when wouldn't it be and why?
Nice video man , but i got a question about the 3d printers , you know how they exactly work and which items are getting traded into , like a specific spot in the item bar or is it just random? and when do you go full on 1 item like sticky bombs or sth? is it worth to change maybe some good items for a fully stack of sth like the stickys ?
IIRC it's a random item that matches the rarity of the item being printed. So if it's a printer for a white item, it randomly takes one of your white items.
3:00 lol the system that spawns monster is hilarious. its quiet a good idea but at some point it tunrs into a tsundere refusing to spend her money because the bosses are too "cheap" for her overall credits. hahahahaha best idea to read this
Okay, so i got the game a few day's ago because friends told me how good it is... and i had the mindsett of fullclearing EVERYTHING and at the point of the 3rd map i getting rekt... now seeing the part of "good past" i sit here with the thought... i used to need double the time per lvl to make sure to get everything, by the time i left stage 1 the 10 minut chest was most of the times allready not an option :o Now with useing the time, it helps, still hard, but it feels easyer and i get at least 1 stage further then usual ^^
I'm planning on making a video covering the more "difficult or obscure" unlocks in-depth but for the 20 stages, try playing on Drizzle (easy) and focusing on the points in this vid. can also bring friends along - if you need a group, try our Discord :)
Early game boss-rushing tips for artificer? I play the 5min/stage style as well and it's easy to execute on multi, merc, and ofc engi. But I prefer to take longer on 'Art b.c she has built in regen and mobility blindspots. I basically don't hit the 1st TP b4 I've found a healing drone or equivalent. Also very niche question for a future video: what is your scouting route for swamps with low mobility? I atm just accept +1-2 min of stage time when I get swamps because the visibility is so low on it.
I stick to the same stuff with Artificer but focus more on the trash while I kill the boss rather than letting them pile up and constantly hit me Swamps are terrible, yeah - just loot whatever you can while you find the boss and then go back and get a few chests you saw but didn't take after the boss. Dont waste your time in that zone
gesture is Op imo. if you go into monsoon with 10 lunar coins and know all the lunar altars you get can 3 gestures by stage 7 easily. 3 gestures means like 2.5s royal cap i.e a free stage 20 run even with bad rng. its pretty broken. ive personally just stopped buying it just cos that strat is brainless sick run everytime.
Its impossible to me to kill 1 stage boss within 5 minutes.I just feel absolutely naked ,and cant deal with horde of mobs stabbing my back while I am focused on boss
It's fighting an obscenely tanky enemy for a guaranteed Titanic Knurl, with a very high chance of dying instantly, even if your build is immensely strong. It can also indirectly kill very long (2+ hr) runs on Monsoon as enemies simply stop spawning, preventing you from activating the totems. At least the zone pauses the timer while you're in it, but it's still a giant waste of time for absolutely no meaningful reward and a very high risk of dying.
I've also had 3 different gold portals where the obelisks bug out, stay activated, but aren't (as in, they don't give you the prompt to pay to activate them). This is a 100% run killer because you can't damage the boss or leave. Gold portals just aren't worth it.
I just want to know if this is a good strategy. First I rush to teleporter (I am a loader main btw) finish it than use all the money I have to get as much chests as I can get
Hi, great video! Is it still working in 2021 though? I can't get past the teleporter or 2 while having only 2-3 items per stage. Even with the characters that are strong early. All those years on action games I considered myself rather agile player ;(
When/Who is a good idea to use shaped glass on? Have been getting it whenever possible (but can only find 1 average per run) but dies shortly after. Or do I just suck?
One stack is the least viable option. If you want to go glass, you should ALWAYS be looking for more than one stack because the HP you lose is not quite worth it with only one. The idea is that the lower your HP is, the more effective your healing becomes, since scythes & seeds apply at a flat value and not a %
What's your opinion on printers in the first loop? Like, if I find a syringe printer on level one should I still try and stick to the 4 minute guideline? try and full clear to get max guaranteed items? or try and strike a balance where I spend a little longer on the area but ultimately leave with most chests unopened?
sorry for the late response - I didn't see your comment until now :( it depends - the only printers I'd farm for early on would be syringes (NOT on Artificer), stickies, glasses or bears. and by farm, I mean getting 4 or 5 stacks and then moving on. so, nothing too crazy. I wouldn't ever full-clear a zone just to print 2 or 3 additional items (4 or 5 compared to 6 or 7) bc the time lost will be a huge detriment.
So even though this video is a month old and the next update is days away, what would you suggest on the 3D Printers? My buddy and I always play Engineers, so finding Maker's Glasses, Tougher Times, Sticky Bombs, Banners, Tri Tip Daggers, and the beloved Bustling Fungus is always desired. I've had a blast with giant piles of each and throwing down turrets that have crazy high numbers of one or another. Would you suggest using them at all, even if it's just to try swapping out an item you have extras of for something else?
Guess they changed the game since this video was made, the stage 3 map is very rarely the snowmap with the chest for the equipment thingy u speak of, i know which you mean im just to lazy to find out the name for it now.. but getting that stage as stage 3.. that wont happen anymore?
Hi. You throw some awesome videos on the web. When I play with my friends I always get frustrated when I start falling behind them ( often by having half of their items). How can I overcome this frustration?
Sounds like they move more efficiently around the map to get loot. If I had to guess, you're staying too long in one area of the map, rather than moving around and finding multiple chests, multishops, etc. Try staying mobile the whole stage!
Definitely buy them but mainly after you have looted what you want on a current stage As in, leave them last to spend your extra money on, rather than gamble away the money you have while there are perfectly good chests around the corner

Run around until you die again. like naw I'm good"
This is comment is already way too long, fuck. I had so much to write. Bullet points now
-I've played like 40 hours in the past week and it really is a great game
-New players: search for the golden sparklies,, finding the teleporter isn't that hard
-Huntress is my favorite. I played half a stage as the Mercenary tho, and he's even more "ninja" so hm
-this one is just a lil bonus bit here. I had one run where I went up to 10 Hopoo Feathers with the huntress, and it was basically flight and it was really cool. On "Scorching Acres"(the third stage that's not Delta)
-if you read this far then first of all thank, it means a lot. Secondly, you must be just as fucking bored as me heh. I really like to write but it always seems to come through in the dumbest ways. Like for instance, spending an hour writing a TH-cam comment oof
Dog, if I had a penny for every multi paragraph long comment I wrote that I knew nobody was gonna read... I'd be Abraham Lincoln.
Pretty worth it reading this to be honest. It really did help me so thank you.
This dude is definitely on coke

huh, those are some stuffs I would have never thought about, I always tried to get all the chests on every single stage including loop 1, most of the time loop 1 stage 4 takes extremely long because very few enemies spawn meaning not a lot of gold but I wanna open everything so it's like 10mins for me on loop 1
I know you're primarilly focused on single-player, but how much of this changes for multiplayer?
not much - you all should be spread across the map, looting in different areas. you should only back-track to where other players were if you are looting an item left for you by another player.
otherwise, this info is pretty much the same. you can also maybe designate one person to always save their money for the legendary chest (or a couple people, since there is sometimes more than one chest)
It's the job of the czar to say "suck it up, you're not going to slow us all down to get that one last ? chest."
Once you get used to it it feels pretty natural to have one voice be in charge and a few people in your friend group will end up preferring to be followers rather than leaders.
Expect the boss loot to be ninjaed every time
After about 50 hours single and 30 multiplayer on monsoon I've always found multiplayer way harder, the chest cost more and things are tankier and it's harder to stack a certain item or go a certain build because you have to share items
On the second loop it's a lot quicker, on the third loop and after you'll probably have enough money to open everything even if you do the teleporter event right away (maybe kill an initial boss spawn first)
The point is to manage your gold income to be as high as it can without sacrificing accuracy, as getting too much would waste time.
It might be viable to apply a similarly strategy to the first level: rush teleporter, get 200ish gold, loot map. You don't suffer the low spawn rate as much, but you still keep up your items/stage that is so important for lategame as stage factor will dominate the difficulty.
Thank you for the video hopefully I can convince my teammates to activate the boss faster now after I have more proof.
Godspeed, my friend

Didn't know we were baking Christmas cookies already
great video, would love to see more regarding the math behind the game and how it effects your decisions during runs
just bought this game after being pestered by friends and it's real fun! at a level where i can hit endgame on monsoon but i didn't really have a good grasp on playing around time and the other variables, so this video was super helpful. as this game's community grows i can see your channel growing as well, keep up the great videos!
End...game....?
Legit Woolie. Thanks for putting this together! Subbed
no prob man, hope it helps. thanks for the support :)
I like how soft of an outline it is. Doesn't feel constraining.
SHOUTOUT GMU DRUMLINE LMAO- we were looking for strats, thanks for the video!
Lmao I went to GMU and was on the drumline (not competitive, just the campus one)
Oh no, an over an hour video discussing RoR2, please Woolie , dont, spare us. Who would ever watch it.
Iwouldtottalywatchit
Awesome template - gona start putting the early game rush into practice and go from there. Appreciate the vid brother
The 10 minute video length here feels more like a coincidence than an attempt to maximize ad revenue. This is jam-packed with great tips! Makes me wanna play some Monsooooon
play it dude!
I'm not even monetized lmfao rip
someone said this before, but you are educated, and it shows my friend.
On my first loop I like to
1. Find the newt altar
2. Activate the teleporter
3. Quickly open nearby chests after teleporter is charged. If I do this fast enough I shouldn't have any left over gold when advancing. Obviously if I run right past a chest during steps 1 and 2 I open it.
Picked up the game yesterday and no sleep has been had haha 😂 thank you for the information!!
Awesome :) hope you have lots more fun
God I just want to get the defeat an elite boss trophy then never play on monsoon again.
Yee
lol me too XD
I actually killed the greater wisp boss as an elite and as a teleporter boss but I still didn't get it :(
I guess greater wisps don't count?!?!
@@abdullahal-housni8243 It has to be a Beetle Queen, Clay Dunestrider, Stone Titan, Wandering Vagrant, Magma Worm, or an Imp Overlord. :)
Same q.q
16 times........ the detail - Todd Howard
Also for those trying to get better. If the boss 1st boss takes more than 5 minutes to kill you should probably grind more even if it puts you behind schedule. Of course that’s again a situational and skill thing that is different per player
Legendary chest has 16 times the cost, and 16 times the details. Todd Howard
I always spent my time taking litteraly all the chest on the 3 first levels, ending at the Impossible difficulty at the 3rd level and then taking 5-10min to farm the legendary chest in the 4th stage for most of the time an item not so great, thanks for this video, I'll try to get better thanks to you ;)
glad to help :)
My apologies- just saw your comment! Unfortunately, there is no item that points to the TP as of now
@@Woolie it's cool, I posted before I knew about looking for the floating orbs to find the Tele easier. And thanks for the informative videos :)
An actually useful video on risk of rain 2, keep it up dude
Oh, how far this game has come. Amazing.
wow a guide that isnt just reading a characters abilities nice
Not sure how much time you want to put into these, but images of the items you're speaking about would help. Thanks for the tips!
Great video! I get a lots of information from u! ty:)
no prob :) thank you for the kind words
i am very strange in my ways, but they work, so here is what i think is best.
time does not matter, items do, and the main ones you want is crit, armor piercing rounds, bleed, red whips are best for mobility, along with hopoo's, the best red to get will be head stompers (H3AD-5T v2), and if you are a beginner, get Dios too if you can. and keep playing over and over, it will get you more in tune with everything happening.
and start your first Monsoon run on Captain, since his Microbot stops Elder Lemurian fire balls, and Brass Contraption spike balls, the WORST things ypu will face in Monsoon, same goes for Greater Wisps.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤhadi ur legit funneling in ror 2 xd
I do think that the way the first advice is said is technically correct but can also be misunderstood
Yes, full clearing stage 1 is a bit of a gamble because you COULD get lucky, but could end up with a set of items that isn't good Enough for the time scaling.
But (even though the video isn't saying this), it also doesn't mean "rush the stage and complete it in as little time as possible"
A rule of thumb I've seen ALWAYS play out is, that "Time spent clearing a stage < Items" in terms of how you scale with the enemies.
My tip. Play on drizzle to get characters easier.
Speaking of Run Baking. The brownies were delicious.
Hook me up
Personally I like grinding in the early levels more than I should and end up rushing the teleporter later on
Love your videos man, thanks alot.
That's why the save mod is awesome..
Good stuff, I'll definitely be taking your advice
I knew there are times when to farm and when to go for bosses, my friends were just rushing thrugh it
I exclusively play drizzle with artifact of command
This makes total sense, good advice thx m8
Very nice! Now I can play ROR2 with my brain :D
3:00 lol the system that spawns monster is hilarious. its quiet a good idea but at some point it tunrs into a tsundere refusing to spend her money because the bosses are too "cheap" for her overall credits. hahahahaha best idea to read this
Okay, so i got the game a few day's ago because friends told me how good it is... and i had the mindsett of fullclearing EVERYTHING and at the point of the 3rd map i getting rekt... now seeing the part of "good past" i sit here with the thought... i used to need double the time per lvl to make sure to get everything, by the time i left stage 1 the 10 minut chest was most of the times allready not an option :o
Now with useing the time, it helps, still hard, but it feels easyer and i get at least 1 stage further then usual ^^
great video man. I would love to see a guide on getting to stage 20
I'm planning on making a video covering the more "difficult or obscure" unlocks in-depth
but for the 20 stages, try playing on Drizzle (easy) and focusing on the points in this vid. can also bring friends along - if you need a group, try our Discord :)
Perfect video ! Thx for all the tips :-)
I stick to the same stuff with Artificer but focus more on the trash while I kill the boss rather than letting them pile up and constantly hit me
Swamps are terrible, yeah - just loot whatever you can while you find the boss and then go back and get a few chests you saw but didn't take after the boss. Dont waste your time in that zone
I can't even complete one teleporter event on drizzle. I get swarmed by like 30 monsters before it reaches 100%. Thought Drizzle meant easy.
Awesome video thank you very much
Thank you, this video actually helped me.
should you farm for giant drones on winter stage. I takes very long, but their damage output is pretty much comparable to the player output
I loot heavily with mercenary and check around the map and spend around 4-5 mins on each stage
gesture is Op imo. if you go into monsoon with 10 lunar coins and know all the lunar altars you get can 3 gestures by stage 7 easily.
@@siloporcen wow, fucking thank you
I have 400+h in game now, why tf would you respond to a 5 month old comment with “git gud”?
I'm knew to risk of rain and I keep dying to mithrix on the third stage... well I got to it after dying in second stage.... I will Def use these tips
What do you think about the gold portal? I went in one time during like a 1 hour run and it didnt really seem to do much. Thoughts?
As of now, never take the gold portals
They are a huge waste of time and often kill the run
@@Woolie Thanks!
Great tips video!
I just want to know if this is a good strategy. First I rush to teleporter (I am a loader main btw) finish it than use all the money I have to get as much chests as I can get
Well done video, earned that sub!
Like, if I find a syringe printer on level one should I still try and stick to the 4 minute guideline? try and full clear to get max guaranteed items? or try and strike a balance where I spend a little longer on the area but ultimately leave with most chests unopened?
sorry for the late response - I didn't see your comment until now :(
it depends - the only printers I'd farm for early on would be syringes (NOT on Artificer), stickies, glasses or bears. and by farm, I mean getting 4 or 5 stacks and then moving on. so, nothing too crazy.
I wouldn't ever full-clear a zone just to print 2 or 3 additional items (4 or 5 compared to 6 or 7) bc the time lost will be a huge detriment.
Is going for a null portal underneath the bazaar a good idea?
So even though this video is a month old and the next update is days away, what would you suggest on the 3D Printers? My buddy and I always play Engineers, so finding Maker's Glasses, Tougher Times, Sticky Bombs, Banners, Tri Tip Daggers, and the beloved Bustling Fungus is always desired. I've had a blast with giant piles of each and throwing down turrets that have crazy high numbers of one or another.
Would you suggest using them at all, even if it's just to try swapping out an item you have extras of for something else?
absolutely - printers are one of the best things to find (certain ones, obviously)
they are extremely strong
Guess they changed the game since this video was made, the stage 3 map is very rarely the snowmap with the chest for the equipment thingy u speak of, i know which you mean im just to lazy to find out the name for it now.. but getting that stage as stage 3.. that wont happen anymore?
One time K tryed not to take item, if I haven't got money for it and it to far from my way. And it was my first win in game.
did the game get harder since the video was uploaded? (7 days and this video will be 3 years old). currently struggling to get bandit mastery
Try staying mobile the whole stage!
dunno, I nab every chest on loop 1, skip a lot loop 2, pick up a lot loop 3, and so on... I've made it 3 hours into runs this way
Is there any tips for guiding a new player
what is your opinion on the shrines that may or may not give you an item in exchange for money? should you buy them at all? if so in what situations?
Definitely buy them but mainly after you have looted what you want on a current stage
As in, leave them last to spend your extra money on, rather than gamble away the money you have while there are perfectly good chests around the corner
