- So I decided to take a trip down to Suffolk for a few days last week, and whilst down there photographing at the RSPB minsmere site I decided to spend an evening down at Bawdsley Hall wildlife experience hide.
The photography hide is a sunken hide in the ground that overlooks a small pond and woodland area, the evening starts at around 7:00 PM as it starts to go dark as the evening goes on the wildlife comes out and visits the pond area
This evening we had a lovely tawny owl fly in and land on one of the dead trees before flying off into the night and not to be seen again.
Later on a couple of badgers made an appearance which was wonderful to see and watch them scurrying around the logs for food, and not long after a couple of muntjac deer arrived, a male and female came in to the viewing area however they came in separately and not together.
In the last couple of hours it all went quiet and only one more visit from the badger before we decided to call it a night at 12:00 a fantastic evening and a great experience to photograph these wonderful night creatures.

Wonderful... so beautifully filmed. Everything perfect. We love the way you edit with stills, movie, inclusion of surroundings, your voice-over with information and the lovely music. Thank you for this very special video, Ashley, from me and my family in a remote part of Western Australia. (We've never seen a muntjac before.)
Great video
great video! I've been filming badgers in the wild at the moment and it's been such a long and challenging task. These shots are so lovely if only my badgers were this cooperative haha
I've only ever seen one live Badger, and that was in my rear view mirror driving in Anglesey.
That camera of yours is superb with its image quality.😀
I have one piece of advice for saying that I want to take a photo or video. You need to get one Nikon camera. By shooting videos with this camera, you can take photos at the same time. Each company has its own chips. At Canon, when removing the lens, the matrix is closed with a curtain, and at Nikon - taking photos during video recording. Some rock guitarists have instruments with two fingerboards that can be played alternately. The photo industry has not yet come up with cameras with multiple lenses and matrices for simultaneous photo and video shooting. And such a camera would cost astronomical money))).
So how was this all lit?
using led lights around the pond area that have gels on to help with the colour balance for those that shoot in auto white balance.
