I'm always amazed to see such small coins (the fractional gold) make it so long and still look beautiful. You ended on a strong note with that seated dollar. Beautiful coin for sure. So many of those in the group are what one dealer I knew would call "Problem Child" coins
I concur that calling hairlines on CIRCULATED coins “cleaned” is ridiculous. The act of circulating will of course put rub marks on any coin. The grading companies should just consider that par for the course and not mention it on the label.
I agree brother. And questionable color…. What does that mean exactly? They can’t say definitively that anything has been done to a coin….. but there could have been? Come on.
Thanks for the time you spend on each coin. Real lesson on fractional gold. I’ve gone to a 10x loop. It really clears up the hairlines issue I’ve been having disappointment w raw coins I submit. Cheers
Idea - invest in some new in-store photography equipment to photograph your holdings - because as good as so many of your coins look on the videos, they don't come across near as well on your website.
NGC really is "bent" on gold... had a submission of gold myself once, and 2 of the 8 came back "bent" even though you can't really even see anything that looks warped -- one was a $10 piece!
I sent in a California gold token a few weeks ago and it came back UNC details bent. I’m gonna have to agree with you that they’re not wrong but not fully right either. The bend is so minuscule it’s hardly even visible to the naked eye. It seems like they will do anything to not straight grade California gold tokens. That obverse damage one you have is stupid. If that size of a ding was on a Morgan dollar they wouldn’t think twice about it. Of course they’re gonna have damage and be slightly bent, they’re tiny and very thin coins!
You realize folks. That all the gold in California is in a bank in the middle of Beverly hills in somebody else's name. So if you go to California it doesn't matter at all if you've played before. California is a brand new game. Lol
I love how old gold US coins have that green tint to them just gorgeous

I'm not sure if it's laziness or just incompetence from the graders at ngc

Glad to help
Great video. Love circulated examples.
Bent the Coin Geek!!🙃
I think all those coins are gorgeous! Those graders don't know nuttin'.
We need more details on our coin labels, for the price and time, we deserve more information.
Awesome !!!
Well there you go then. "You can't always get what you want"... some nice coins.
The reverse is beautiful on that 1842 Seated dollar!
OH NO! Ben is on a bender again!
A mood bender if he would have sent it in to PCGS or CACG
Love the 1842 seated buck!
I have a couple slightly bent coins in my collection, but it made them affordable for me.
Greetings from an old friend. Go go geek.
On the 1814 cent, the variety is specifically, Plain 4.
1887 Morgan toner is stunning !!
Happy Friday!
Beautiful coins!
Shame they didn't give you the FT designation on the 1842 dollar.
Hi Ben. Does the notification bell have full bell lines? *>>--->* 🔔🔨
It seems to have a rather mushy strike, I can't see any lines

That MS61 23 Peace looks better than some of my MS63 Peace dollars. Very nice.
Hi Ben, Happy Friday.
Hey Ben

Me too! Sent in a California gold token and it came back bent even though the bend is so minuscule you can’t see it with the naked eye
We resubmitted a NGC bent three cent silver a couple years ago and it came back straight graded from PCGS

How much less is the Details graded 1878 cc Morgan compared to the MS? Please and thanks 😊
Usually depends on just how bad or noticeable the cleaning is. Sometimes it will be $50 less and sometimes a couple hundred
Who did you make mad at NGC Ben? They were TOUGH on these. 😬
My old stage name was "Squat and Fatty"

glad you did not send them to PCGS or CACG. you would have really been pissed off with the results.
I’ve been seeing more consistent results with pcgs lately. NGC doesn’t like giving out grades nowadays it seems. And CACG is super strict
Hi Ben
Sorry to be a nerd but 1840 is actually the first year of issue for seated dollars.
Thank you
If they are fat and squatting, don't look! 🧘👀
so tiny if that fell in the grass would be lost
Or some 70s shag carpet ! Yeah baby!
SECOND
NOPE. FOURTH.
Generous grade on the 53-O dollar. AU53 all day.
