A few notes
15:16 - what I said is partially true - on "Multi-tasking" password and buttons modules are always present but the 3rd is a random complex module. About half the bombs do have fixed module sets.
23:17 - more than once :P
29:36 - "end of hardcore", as in the end of the bomb named “I am Hardcore”, not hardcore (1-strike) bombs in general
how the hell didn't this get accepted, this is absolutely incredible that you memorized the entire manual.
Limeon Husky probably because it wouldn’t be fun for the viewers who didn’t understand/look at the manual. As an EFM player of this game, I can say that the fact that he memorized both Memory and Who’s on First simply shocks me.

Morse is actually easy to learn. You can learn morse in about 1-2hours (at least the letters and numbers)

Try looking at the optimized PDFs. They’re all much simpler than the actual game manual pages

I watched a buncha people do the KTANE elevator...that was insane....but doing these bombs SOLO?! That's something else.....I would love to see you at AGDQ or SGDQ, would love even more to see all the minds you would blow lol, pun intended
xSynclaire well, several people have done these same bombs solo as well, he just did almost all of it without the manual with only his memory to guide him.
How tf did u solve keypads and wires in the dark
The capturing of the video might be at a lower brightness than the monitor settings. He might have his monitor's brightness way higher in order to see the wires/keypads.
i dont know what your settings are but with my default monitor settings i can still make out what is what when closely looking (in my own game i mean)
I know this is too long for a full straight answer but yes the gamma of his screen is turned way up. It's something all ktane speedrunners use to make their times faster. He just didn't turn up the recoding brightness however so it looks like magic to people unexperienced in this game.
It's either his gamma is turned up really high or he could see the outlines of the symbols
For symbols it's not that hard I can easily see them on my laptop both in the video and in game. For wires fuck that.

PainPita being an EFM player who has memorized almost half of the wires module, I have to agree with this.
You can say his run was bad this man is amazing, I literally don’t care what speedrunning standards there are. Great job and give yourself a pat on the back

I did first bomb with 5 mins remaining lmao, its all about doing it before the lights come up
how did he see the symbols before the lights went on..?
Increase your brightness, and stay above your monitor.
The timer only counts down when the lights turn on, but there is the window of time between when the game loads the bomb and when the lights turn on where the timer doesn’t count down, allowing some insanely fast times, such as getting a 5:00 on the first bomb with crazy good RNG.
Would you think about taking the elevator of doom on, solo?
and it takes us around 12 mins to solve 1 bomb with 2 people

And I thought I was pretty good having memorized, memory, comp wires, password, button, symbols, and Simon says. No way I could ever memorize who’s on first it’s just to hard, and Morse code is more possible since it’s just good to know Morse code but it’s still hard especially also memorizing the words and hertz.

He upped the brightness on his monitor to make them visible when the lights are off and like Kerbal Space Nerd said, TH-cam compression makes it darker for some reason.
i dont know where you are but there are mods that allow you to have only one kind of module on a bomb
Ninjario Picmin I’d say that’s cheating, because he’s trying to play through the whole game unmodded. Modifying the game to do something like that basically trivializes the entire run.

The game loses all meaning if you memorize the exact way to diffuse each bomb.
At least with most speedruns, they actually play the game with glitches here and there, but KTANE speed runs are just a competition of who can jerk themselves off the fastest.
In case you didnt notice, a random bomb (with the same modules, but with different RNG) is generated every time you start the level.
This means it's like getting a new sudoku every time instead of doing the same over and over again.

so the point of the game is to not memorize the manual, and you have. Speed runners don't understand the point of video games
ColdGamersProdutions there are people who play the game casually solo. However most of them use the manual too, either on a printed sheet of paper or on the manual page itself.
